Overall a great car, hard to find used in good condition, but the ones that are will be fairly expensive. Parts for the 87-91 E30's aren't too hard to find and quite a few options available for engine/suspension upgrades.

These 3-series are lovely - they look great from the outside, and they're a pleasure to drive, it shows great poise on the road - acceleration is great, brakes are a tad vague compared to modern brakes but they're more than adequate when ya get the feel of them.. It's quite thirsty, but I try not to use it for every-day runs. The rear wheel drive experience is excellent if you're carefull, personally I don't drift, diff or slide intentionally! The black leather interior really sets the car off with it's Delphin Grey paint. It scrubs up well on a sunny day! I spent about 2/3 years looking for a good clean version of this car, and I love the one I have - I'm not selling!
