The all wheel drive was a great idea but obviously ahead of its time and always in need of repair. I liked the looks and it ran well enough but everything related to the 4 wheel drive broke multiple times. Also had problems with the rear brakes and it used up tires faster than any other car I've owned.

mediocre describes everything about this vehicle, its appearance, performance and quality. even so, for some odd reason, I love this car. very simple, no B.S. has only left me stranded once, and thats when i first bought it. very fun to drive, because no one likes to get passed by this vehicle.

built like a tank, ran well until it just died. Weirdly expensive rims. pimping red interior.

Topaz I had this car for 6 years. Overall I should say it's a good reliable car. Can't talk about on performance on this car as it's only 98 horse power with a in-line 4 2.3 engine. The most impressive thing for this car is the sur-round sound system. Can't imagine there is a factory built sub-woofer in a mid size sedan. Why pay for the premium for imports if you can have everything for a domestic sedan. Compare to my friends japanese cars. This car relatively has a lower maintenance cost. (a rebuilt alternator only cost me less than CAD 100 vesus over CAD 250 for one fit in a 1991 Toyota Camry. Too bad all Topaz are getting old. Perhaps we should go for Contour for replacement car.
