I was so completely in love with this car and still am. The performance was slow and handled "like a boat" (I'm convinced their designers spent serious effort to make it handle that much like a boat). I still took it sideways using E-brake turns on gravel. Held solid for 25 years with basic maintenance. It even survived a timing belt blow despite having an interference engine. I believe the torque converter is what finally died and we had to let it go. It had an exhaust leak making it sound halfway between a ricer and a diesel truck but louder. Its name is "The Deathtrap". The most fun car I've driven and I still miss it.

I have had the camry for 16 years next week, have had some minor problems with it, but has generally been reliable. I wore the suspension out on it early driving off road with friends (not the smartest thing to do in a sedan). I have had to replace the fuel pump 3 times...not sure that problem has been diagnosed properly by the mechanics that worked on it, and twice the timing belt has gone out on it...lucky both times just going about 30mph. Currently the blower motor for the heating system is on the fritz, but not too worried about that...should have it fixed soon. Mileage has been great, drives well, seats 5 easily. Lotsa trunk space for golf clubs etc. The general maintenance under the hood is fairly easy due to a well laid out design. Changing the oil filter, sparkplugs, cap, rotor, wires, alternator, starter, adding any fluid needed is all straight forward easy.
