it's possibly general motors greatest SUV. granted they are a dime a dozen they're well worth what you put into them. the early models are pretty inexpensive also they're really light which makes them harder than hell to get stuck in the mud or where ever you drive it.

i love the reliability and the floor shifter for the 4x4. i don't like how squirmy it is in the winter in 2 wheel drive, but that can be quite fun to play with in a turn around. the mpg really suck in 4wheel drive

I had an 84 blazer purchased at 10 years old and 65,000 miles. First problem...Leaks from every gasket. After an engine overhaul, Motor ran fine, I owned it for at least 10 years and it never burned oil. Had the 2.8 v6. But had little power. It wouldn't do 75mph unless you drove it off a cliff and then I don't know if it would develop that velocity. However I drove my then-wife 50 miles through back country Kentucky roads in snow and it never let me down. Perhaps that lack of power helped in snow. With all-terrain tires, and careful driving, made the trip even in 13in snows and often was out on the roads before the snow-plows. One day I delivered her to work then got to my job just as the announcement was being made that the roads were closed and tickets would be issued. Ha. My biggest complaints were the lack of power for highway use and the body cancer (rust) got to it. Fuel Mileage wasn't very good either.

better if i got it before the cancer ate it LOL y does it have to be 40 words? i dont have much to say on it right now... it still needs work... such as rocker panels need to be put int, body lift and tranny need to go in, and brake lines need to be done still

nice first vehicle
