Overview
While 1980 marked the beginning of a decade known for excess, the Chevrolet Corvette was reducing its exterior rather than adding to it. Both the front and rear bumper of this model were made sleeker, giving the Corvette a meaner, leaner look.
The US government also stepped in on the paring down: new cars were not allowed to have speedometers with readings up to 85. Despite the limits in speed readings, the Corvette remained as powerful as always, with its 350ci, 230 horsepower engine (except in California where it was limited to 305ci, 180hp).

I think the Corvette is the best sports car out there. They handle great and are always reliable. Trigger has never let me down once. We've won every race. She always turns in the fastest times. Nothing can catch her.

Car has been almost completely rebuilt. I have done the following to the car since I bought it: New paint, stinger hood, daytona front bumper, fiberglass rear bumper, side exhaust, 16x8" polished aluminum wheels, 245/55/R16 BF Goodrich tires, carpeting, door panels, leather seats, walnut steering wheel, walnut dash trim. I am currently in the process of replacing the suspension, motor, and auto to manual conversion. Motor is a 350 bored 30 over, aluminum pistons, aluminum roller rockers, aluminum performer intake, demon 750 carb.

The look of this car speaks for itself. It is just a sharp looking car. It runs and drives great. Is a fun car for an occasional drive. The bad thing is the space. I am a bigger guy and it is pretty tight for me getting in and out. No back seats. But if you are looking for a sports car to drive around on weekends or nice days, this is definitely for you!

This was my first car, still own it today, rebuilt the engine for track use. now it is primarily a race car with some fun driving when i get the urge. 300hp, 400 ft/lbs of torque, recently rebuilt 350 TPI engine from a '86 vette big block springs, front coils and rear leaf both lowered. daytona front and rear bumper, high rise hod. new paint(electron blue) torque thrust II 17" wheels custom interior blue and black leather seats and door panels ~20 MPG, love the car amazing to drive, but rides a little low, can be a pain over big bumps. me and my dad did all of the work ourselves.
