Reviewed a 1973 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow on Nov 25, 2010

The Rolls Royce Silver Shadow is one of the most recognizable cars on Earth. Just the site of one of these huge works of art commands your attention. Comfort is defined by riding in one of these cars. The 73 still was produced with the beautiful "full chrome" bumpers, which are much more attractive than the rubber ones mounted to later cars. These cars are expensive to maintain. Buying or downloading manuals, joining Silver Shadow forums online will provide great advice of doing much of the maintenance yourself. Remember, a Rolls Royce Silver Shadow NEVER breaks down.......however.... they may fail to proceed......

Timeless is the only way to describe this car. It's stunning, and doubtlessly the most comfortable car I've ever driven. 6.2 litre motor gives it "adequate" power. Hydraulics make it stop, and run smoothly. The interior is what you would expect from a hand made vehicle, and despite its age it's equiped with power seats, windows, and every other amenity. Unfortuneatly, it is inherently expensive to own. Nevertheless, the attention it gets is so much fun. It draws crowds whenever you stop for fuel.
