Bought in 1978. Fast enough for a 17 year old. Decent handling on back roads. Looks reminded me of a a Jaguar XKE. Body was already rusting out. Seat backs broke. Struts repeatedly lost adjustment. Constantly fixing it but loved it.

This beast was a beater I had in high school. The throttle assembly was held together with bread ties. The oil gauge was dangling from behind the dashboard by its plastic hose, and it dripped oil on my socks as I drove. It had headers and a V6, so it was fast and loud. The worn synchronizers would grind when I shifted into 2nd gear. I would pull away from people in first, and lose a lot of momentum shifting into 2nd.I sold it to some people who sadi they were going to race in Santa Fe Speedway with it.

* Performance – Okay but only 115 HP for a V6? * Build Quality – Wipers borke ( recalled) Seat back broke, dash was cheaply made. * Appearance – Okay European styled. * Cost of Ownership – gas mileage was 15-16 MPG but only had a 11 gal tank! * Fun Factor –Not bad after some suspension work.
