On road performance is not what this Jeep specializes in. It's off the beaten trail where you would not want any other car. The 258 straight six cylinder engine is bullet proof, and is very easy to maintain and repair. Acceleration is poor due to low gearing, but it will get you where you need to go. Gas mileage isn't anything to brag about considering that your driving a big brick around. This car is perfect for driving on the beach or going mudding every once in a while.

It goes anywhere with no problems. Like any jeep you have to be able to fix things yourself since to have other people work on these cars would prob cost a fortune. It fun to drive of course with great acceleration beating many cars off the line but with my three speed it loses most of it power on the high end because of it's low gearing but I can squeel tires in it when the road is wet easily sometimes without me thinking about it leaving me burning out but not moving forward.
