The 1957 Chevrolet Corvette was an incredible machine-especially for its time-and remains one of the most desirable classic cars. It had a list of firsts: it was the first to combine fuel injection with a four-speed manual transmission, and the first to offer one horsepower per cubic inch (283 of each). It won several races at the track, spurring consumers to jump at the power it offered. Chevy sold 6,339 of the classic car, almost double the previous year's totals.

Reviewed a 1957 Chevrolet Convertible on Apr 15, 2012

The performance was way better than from factory as the engine was a 283 bored to 301 and it had 2 four barrels. Also the bumpers and top were off most of the time. I never got beat from light to light because I could get 60 out of 1st gear. It came with a 3-speed.

dad bought it in early 90's from a collector in scranton, broke down all the time right after purchase, had it restored and works great now
