Dealerships near me (Mount Pleasant, MI)

No only was the car I drove over 100 miles to see, not ready to be sold, the dealership was insistent on trying to get me to agree to purchase if they fixed the problems with the car. Keep in mind this was after several conversations about my intentions before even driving up there to test drive it. I’m curious to know how a “respected” dealership in the mount pleasant area has stayed open for so long. I was very clear and adamant about my intentions on test driving that vehicle and my inability to purchase anything pending my insurance total loss claim. They continued to attempt to figure out a way for me to buy that particular vehicle. I will not recommend nor ever make a trip to this dealership for any vehicle I find that they have in the future. Absolutely reaffirmed to me why people hate car dealerships.

When I arrived at the dealership for a test drive, the vehicle was not ready. I then learned I’d been chatting online about the vehicle with an AI chatbot. The sales rep apologized and contacted me when the vehicle was ready a day or two later, but I had already moved on. The bot wasted my time and did nothing from my perspective to instill confidence.

I never received communication back from the dealer. I have no idea if this car is still availble.

As a small, independent used car dealer, Clare Auto Sales seems straightforward and open about its inventory. Grant Wiley communicated with us throughout the process. He was interested in us as customers; he is not a high-pressure salesman. He was patient and answered all our questions. The truck had a couple of areas where rust was starting, which we will have to try to fix before it gets worse.

This was a GREAT remote purchase! We did not have to drive to the dealership - our salesman handled everything remotely and quickly delivered the vehicle straight to our home.
