Truck that I wanted to see had a transmission issue and I was informed it would be getting fixed and that I could still look at it at their shop. When I arrived they brought out a different truck and then informed me during the test drive that actually the truck I wanted would be getting sold at auction.

I contacted Shottenkirk CDJR Granbury on 3/24/2026 about a 2018 GMC Canyon SLT. The truck was available, and the salesperson, Tristan, did send an out‑the‑door price — but the number included a “VIP Total Care” fee and a separate sales commission fee added on top of the listed price. These unnecessary add‑ons inflated the total and made the pricing unreliable. When I asked about the fees, I didn’t get a clear explanation. Instead, the conversation shifted toward pushing me to come into the dealership. After reviewing the numbers, I told him I was moving on and would not be pursuing the truck. Even after that, he continued calling and texting multiple times trying to pull me back in. The pressure didn’t stop, and it made the experience feel even less professional. A dealership should respect a buyer’s time and decision. Between the added fees, the lack of transparency, and the continued contact after I declined, I chose not to move forward with them.
