Told me the vehicle was available and it was really sold

Called the night before to hold a vehicle. I was told they couldn’t hold any vehicles and only to call before I left (2.5 hr drive). I called before to make sure it hadn’t sold and that I would have a chance to test drive the vehicle. They told me that it hadn’t been sold. I was 30 minutes away from the dealership when I got a call that they had sold the vehicle. I would not even start a process of buying a vehicle from this place if you live more than 20 minutes away because there is absolutely no way of being sure that it’ll be there by the time you arrive.

had a deal in place with an approved credit application. I asked about putting a deposit down, they, both the sales rep and finance guy both told me an approved credit app on the vehicle would hold it. I live in IL so we were working out remote signing, they said they have a notary service, identity verification was completed with them and were working on a date for the signing (I have all the emails to show this), today 3-26 I get a call from the dealership telling me they sold the truck. I asked on more than one call if I needed to put a cash deposit down, and was told no, the active app would hold the truck. Would never work with such such liars

Good follow-up

Fair pricing. I didn't even need to dicker. The asking price was the right price for the car. I bought it. Very nice sales guy, Chuck. Went the extra mile to get me everything I asked for. Low key, enjoyable transaction. More than I can say for most of my previous car dealer experiences.
