Cavender's had a vehicle listed on Carguru.com and their own website for $5400 over market value per their Carguru listing and my research. I was interested in the vehicle but assumed the price must have been a mistake so I inquired. Their initial response was to ask me for my offer on the vehicle. I offered exactly the top end of market value, to which they responded: "I have that vehicle set up through our in-house financing when there is no other option for a customer. Our pricing is a little different. All of our other vehicles are priced under market value. Unfortunately, I cannot go that low, as I have more invested in that vehicle than you offered." So either these guys are the worst car buyers ever or this is as I took it to mean, that they are charging the most for the people who can least afford it.

I drove 2 hours to look at this used 2023 Ford F-150 XLT. I met with the salesman & test drove it. It drove good as usual, but when I got back I noticed the passenger door had been keyed. Upon bringing attention to the salesman/manager on shift, they said “it didn’t have that when we got it here, it must have happened in the parking lot” So upon hearing this I went on their website to see the initial pictures & sure enough it’s in the pictures if you zoom in far enough. Being blatantly lied to isn’t a good way to sell a vehicle. I get it’s a used vehicle with 35,000 miles but being lied straight to your face is some serious crap! I ended up taking my business elsewhere to say the least.
