Subaru Corporation was previously known as Fuji Heavy Industries, which was founded in 1953 and it started selling in America in 1968. In the 1990s, its rally dominance and expansion in into the SUV marketplace formed the brand image that it continues to celebrate to this day.

What Sort of Vehicles Does Subaru Make?

The cornerstones of the Subaru lineup are its crossovers, SUVs, and wagons. This includes the long-running Outback wagon and Forester compact SUV. Many of Subaru’s core vehicles are built in its Lafayette, Indiana production facility. The BRZ and WRX are built in separate Japanese Subaru plants and the Solterra is built in a Toyota assembly plant in Japan.
