Who Makes Lucid Cars?

Lucid is positioned as raising the bar to rival Tesla in the luxury EV space. The “who” behind Lucid Motors is literally former Tesla personnel, including the former vice president of Tesla and the chief engineer for the Model S. In addition to building its own EVs, Lucid is producing EV components for other automakers, including Aston Martin.

What Sort of Vehicles Does Lucid Make?

Lucid’s first vehicle is called the Air. It’s a large, high-tech sedan with performance and luxury that exceeds the Model S. Depending on the battery and motor configuration, the Lucid Air offers a driving range of between 410 and 516 miles of range. The base setup makes 430 horsepower. The top-end Sapphire trim puts out a staggering 1,234 horsepower and rockets from zero to 60 mph in a tire-eviscerating 1.89 seconds. The Lucid Air is soon to be joined by the Gravity, which is a luxury SUV.
