Who Makes Bentley Cars?

Bentley was founded in 1919 by W.O. Bentley, building performance luxury cars that the wealthy could take racing. Following financial troubles in 1931, Bentley was acquired by Rolls-Royce. In 1998, Bentley was purchased by Volkswagen Group (and Rolls-Royce by BW at the same time). Its products share platforms with VW Group (read: Audi and Porsche) products, albeit heavily revised.

What Sort of Vehicles Does Bentley Make?

Bentley has long sold ultra-luxury sedans, coupes and convertibles, with performance variants of some of these models. This includes the Continental GT (coupe) and Continental GTC (convertible). The Flying Spur is an opulent large sedan with more stately styling, but the brand’s most popular vehicle is its newest, the Bentayga SUV, offered in standard wheelbase and extended wheelbase models.
