Who Makes Acura Cars?

Honda is the parent company of Acura. Despite its Japanese roots, it predominantly operates in the American market, has American headquarters in California, and builds many of its vehicles in North America. A number of its vehicles share platforms with corresponding Honda vehicles. Acura vehicles like the MDX and RDX are built at a Honda/Acura facility in East Liberty, Ohio.

What Sort of Vehicles Does Acura Make?

SUVs make up the core of Acura’s lineup, including the compact RDX and midsize, three-row MDX, both of which are popular vehicles and perform well. In 2023, Acura brought back the Integra, which is a high-tech and agile compact sport sedan. Acura produces the TLX sedan, which has enjoyable handling but has a frustrating touchpad infotainment system. In all other models, Acura has phased out this touchpad and has replaced it with a more intuitive touchscreen.

Finally, Acura also offers the ZDX. It is an all-electric crossover that is related to the Honda Prologue. Created via a partnership with General Motors, both vehicles are heavily based on the Chevrolet Blazer EV.
