The Tundra was one of the oldest vehicles on the market before its redesign for the 2022 model year, but the resulting truck was worth the wait for many people. It ditched V8 power in favor of new V6 and hybrid powertrains, gained new styling elements, and received an updated interior that finally brought it into the modern age. The 2026 Tundra remains competitive with a stunning number of available configurations and modern technology features.

What’s New for the 2026 Toyota Tundra
The 2026 Tundra gained a new interior color theme for the Capstone trim, ISO dynamic seats for the TRD Pro, an available 3-inch lift kit for the TRD Rally trim, a larger fuel tank, and other updates.
Design
The new Tundra features a boxy design with a prominent grille and a striking front-end shape that almost looks like a handlebar mustache. Toyota offers a range of bright paint colors for the truck, and TRD models get beefy accents with underbody skid plates and black wheels. While the truck lacks loud, shouty graphics and logos, some do feature subtle model badging on the bed.
Powertrain
Toyota equips a twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6 in the Tundra's base trim, which makes 358 horsepower and 405 pound-feet of torque. Two upgrades are available, with the first boosting power to 389 horsepower and 437 pound-feet of torque. The i-Force Max powertrain adds an electric motor for a combined 437 horsepower and 583 pound-feet of torque. All engines pair with a 10-speed automatic transmission and either rear- or four-wheel drive (RWD or 4WD). Acceleration is strong with any engine, and towing reaches 12,000 pounds when the truck is properly equipped.

Interior
The Tundra is available in crew and double cab formats, but seating capacity lands at five people for both. Cloth upholstery is standard, but higher trims add leather, and most come with heated front seats. Ventilated and massaging front seats and a heated steering wheel are available. Toyota gave the truck plenty of interior storage, with generously sized spaces in the center console, glove box, and door pockets.
Technology
The Tundra comes standard with an 8-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, SiriusXM radio, six speakers, Bluetooth, and more. Higher trims step up to a 14-inch touchscreen and a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless charging, ambient interior lighting, additional USB charging ports, and dual-zone automatic climate control.
Safety
The 2026 Tundra is too new to have received crash-test results, but it gets a long list of driver-assistance tech as standard. Features include forward-collision warning, pedestrian detection, a rearview camera, rear-seat alert, automatic high beams, and lane-departure warning. Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, a digital rearview camera mirror, and a head-up display are available.

Pricing and Release Date
As of this writing, pricing for the 2026 Toyota Tundra costs $41,260 including destination. The top Capstone trim starts at $80,800, and all models are on sale now.
