Porsche electrified the Macan for the 2025 model year, although the company still sells a gas-powered variant, too. One year later, the new Macan Electric offers a range of options and upgrades, and in typical Porsche fashion, it’s one of the more engaging vehicles of its type.

What’s New for the 2026 Porsche Macan Electric
The Macan Electric was all-new last year, but Porsche introduced a handful of changes for 2026. It receives new driver-assistance features, including a parking assistance system, an AI-enhanced voice command system, and a new digital key system. The SUV’s towing capacity increased to 5,500 pounds for 2026, and it gained more in-car gaming functions.
Design
Porsche didn’t go off the rails with the Macan Electric’s styling, as it’s still immediately recognizable. It features a lower, sleeker look than the gas model, with a large lower grille and unique LED daytime running lights. Buyers have a near-endless number of color options, and Porsche offers a range of wheel choices, depending on the trim and configuration. The Macan can also be upgraded with graphics packages, custom colors, and more.
Powertrain
Porsche offers four electric powertrain options for 2026. The base configuration uses a single electric motor with 335 horsepower and 415 pound-feet of torque. The Macan 4 has two electric motors with 382 horsepower, and the 4S boosts output to 442 horsepower. At the top of the lineup, the Macan Turbo Electric offers 576 horsepower and 811 pound-feet of torque. The single-motor configuration has rear-wheel drive (RWD), but all others come with all-wheel drive (AWD).

Interior
The Macan Electric seats five people on standard synthetic leather upholstery with heated, power-adjustable front seats. Higher trims add genuine leather upholstery, ventilated seats, massaging functions, memory settings, and more. Like the gas Macan, the EV’s back seat is comfortable but short on space, and cargo room is reduced by the SUV’s sporty exterior shape, with just 18 cubic feet behind the rear seats in most trims.
Technology
A 10.9-inch touchscreen and a 12.6-inch digital gauge cluster come standard, along with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a navigation system, wireless charging, multiple USB ports, and voice-command capability. A 10.9-inch passenger touchscreen is available, along with Bose and Burmester stereo upgrades, air-filtration systems, and quad-zone climate controls. Porsche’s infotainment interface is responsive and mostly easy to use, and many settings have redundant physical controls that make interacting with the vehicle much simpler.
Safety
The 2026 Macan Electric hasn’t been crash-tested by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) yet, but it has a good number of standard driver-assistance features. They include automatic emergency braking, forward collision warnings, pedestrian and cyclist detection, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alerts, front and rear parking sensors, adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warnings, and more.

Pricing and Release Date
As of this writing, pricing for the 2026 Macan Electric is not available, but we expect a slight increase over the 2025 model’s prices, which started at $79,995 and extended past $110,000. The 2026 Macan Electric is available for order now and will begin arriving on dealers’ lots in early 2026.
