What’s New for the 2025 Toyota Corolla

For the 2025 model year, the Corolla gains the FX Special Edition. The 2025 Corolla also gets the latest version of Toyota’s driver-assistance technology and a new infotainment screen for the FX and XSE trims.

Design

The Corolla’s contemporary look is carried over, exhibiting a modern take on the compact sedan. Trims are LE, SE, XSE, and FX. The LE trim comes with 16-inch steel wheels, while the SE and XSE come with 18-inch alloy wheels. The FX Special Edition features a rear spoiler, lower springs, and unique 18-inch satin wheels.

Powertrain

The Corolla comes equipped with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. It puts out 169 horsepower and 151 pound-feet of torque. Power is routed to the front wheels through a continuously variable transmission (CVT). The range-topping XSE trim comes with steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters. These manipulate the CVT to select pre-set “gears,” which are simulated ratios.

The most efficient version of the Corolla is the LE, which returns 32 mpg city, 41 mpg highway, and 35 mpg combined. The SE and XSE return fuel economy of 31 mpg city, 40 mpg highway, and 34 mpg combined.
