For 2025, the Subaru Ascent simplifies its lineup by discontinuing the base model and positioning the Premium trim as the new entry-level option. The lineup also expands with the debut of the Bronze Edition and Onyx Edition Touring trims.
Design
The Ascent features a functional design with sleek LED lighting and rugged cladding. The Bronze Edition adds bronze-colored wheels and accents. The Onyx Edition offers a sporty blacked-out aesthetic. Available 20-inch wheels provide added curb appeal.
Powertrain
The 2025 Subaru Ascent comes standard with a 2.4-liter turbocharged Boxer engine producing 260 horsepower and 277 pound-feet of torque. It features Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive and X-Mode driving mode. When properly equipped, it features a towing capacity of up to 5,000 pounds.
Interior
Standard features on the Premium trim include heated front seats, an eight-way power driver’s seat, and tri-zone climate control. The Onyx Edition adds water-repellant upholstery, a heated steering wheel, and a panoramic moonroof.
