The Wrangler is easily the most recognizable and iconic Jeep model around, and while it’s gained electrified power in recent years, the automaker has kept gas engines around for good measure. Jeep hasn’t fully detailed the 2025 SUV yet, but it has given an overview of the Hemi-equipped Wrangler Rubicon 392, which we’ll cover here.

What’s New for the 2025 Jeep Wrangler
Jeep gave the Wrangler a heavy update for 2024, which brought a new grille, an updated interior with more tech, and more off-road-friendly features. The 2025 model year marks the last for the Hemi-equipped Wrangler 392, as Jeep eyes a shift to smaller, electrified powertrains with better fuel economy.
Design
The new Wrangler retains its long-running upright grille, but it has been updated with recent models to be more modern-looking and clean. The 392 sports unique body graphics and a bulging hood, but it is otherwise in line with the rest of the Wrangler lineup.
Powertrain
The 2025 Wrangler 392 comes with a 6.4-liter (392 cubic inches) V8 making 470 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque. It’s paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel drive (4WD). The SUV can hit 60 mph from a standstill in 4.5 seconds and run the quarter-mile in 13 seconds, neither of which are particularly relevant off-road. To tackle those situations, Jeep equipped a two-speed transfer case, full-time 4WD, heavy-duty Dana 44 axles with electronic-locking differentials, and an electronic front sway-bar disconnect.

Interior
Jeep’s most recent Wrangler updates brought a wealth of interior improvements, including power-adjustable front seats for the first time. Each trim gets a unique interior theme, with graphics in the dash material and different materials for some variants. The 392 comes only in a four-door configuration, which offers seating for five, though three adults will feel super cramped in the SUV’s not-so-spacious back seat.
Technology
Jeep equips a 12.3-inch touchscreen and a 3.5-inch non-color driver-information display. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, along with Bluetooth, SiriusXM radio, eight speakers, and more. The Wrangler is available with a 7-inch digital gauge cluster and upgraded stereo options. Jeep’s Uconnect 5 infotainment system is feature-rich and easy to use while driving, minimizing distraction. The Wrangler also comes with off-road trail maps that help owners keep track of their location far off the beaten path.
Safety
The 2025 Jeep Wrangler hasn’t been evaluated in crash tests yet, and its standard safety tech isn’t the most generous. A rearview camera is the only standard feature, but buyers can add blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, a rear parking-assist system, forward collision alert, automatic emergency braking, and more.

Pricing and Release Date
At the time of this writing, Jeep hadn’t released pricing details for the 2025 Wrangler, but we expect to see a slight increase over 2024’s starting numbers. That said, pricing is available for the Rubicon 392 Final Edition, which starts at $100,590. The 2025 Wrangler is expected at dealerships by the end of this year.
