The 2025 Genesis GV60 may sit on the same platform as the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Kia EV6, but as a more luxurious vehicle, it competes directly with the likes of the Cadillac Lyriq, the Lexus RZ and the Tesla Model Y. Available trims include Standard, Advanced, and Performance. As of this writing, the GV60 is currently only sold in 37 states, so if you’re looking for one, be sure your state is on the list.

What’s New for the 2025 Genesis GV60

The 2025 Genesis GV60 gets minimal updates for this model year, with a more significant refresh expected in 2026. New for 2025, you’ll see a new base Standard trim all-wheel-drive (AWD) model, more standard tech, and a new Capri Blue exterior paint color.

Design

Even though the 2025 Genesis GV60 doesn’t have a functional grille since it’s electric, it sports the signature Genesis Crest “grille” design on the lower fascia. The front and rear taillights also utilize the signature two lines derived from the Genesis emblem. But the compact EV is otherwise unique in the Genesis lineup, with more of an egg-shaped, coupe-like style. The interior is minimalist, with a large screen that goes from gauge cluster to infotainment screen with few buttons or dials. The coolest interior feature, however, has to be the crystal orb that turns into a gearshift when the vehicle is powered on.

Powertrain & Performance

The 2025 Genesis GV60 is offered in both rear-wheel-drive (RWD) and AWD forms, but the single-motor RWD option is only offered on the base Standard trim. This single-motor model boasts 225 horsepower and an EPA-estimated 294 miles of range. Both the Standard and Advanced dual-motor AWD versions promise 314 hp and an EPA-estimated 264 miles of range. The top-tier Performance trim is true to its name, and this dual-motor AWD model focuses more on performance, less on range, delivering 429 hp and 235 miles of range. Every 2025 GV60 uses a 77.4-kWh battery pack.

Interior

The 2025 Genesis GV60 seats up to five passengers, but as a small SUV, cargo space is a bit limited behind the second row at 24.7 cubic feet. It is, however, chockfull of up-level standard features, including synthetic leather seats, a glass roof and power sun shade, a hands-free smart liftgate, heated front seats, adaptive cruise control, a head-up display, dual-zone automatic climate control, and ambient lighting. Available features include leather seats, heated and ventilated seats, a heated steering wheel, and heated rear seats.

Technology

The 2025 Genesis GV60 is thoroughly modern, with dual 12.3-inch display screens housed in a single swath of glass, fingerprint authentication, facial recognition, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a wireless phone charger. Available tech includes a 360-degree camera, remote smart park assist, a Bang & Olufsen premium audio system, and the ability to use your phone as a key.

Safety

The 2025 Genesis GV60 is packed with standard safety tech, such as lane-keep assist, forward collision-avoidance assist, lane follow assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and safe-exit assist. Available safety tech includes blind spot camera views in your digital cluster, parking collision avoidance, and an advanced rear occupant alert that senses movement in the vehicle after it’s been turned off and locked. To top it off, the GV60 earned a Top Safety Pick+ award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), getting "Good" ratings in all crashworthiness tests.

Pricing and Release Date

The 2025 Genesis GV60 is a WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) model, and each trim adds features rather than having a bunch of package options. At the time of this writing, base price is $54,450, but if you want any color other than white, you’ll add $650 to the bottom line. The Advanced trim starts at $62,350 and adds features such as 20-inch alloy wheels, leather seats, heated and ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and the Bang & Olufsen sound system, and at the Performance trim level, which starts at $71,350, you’ll see features such as 21-inch alloy wheels, heated rear seats, the digital key, sueded headliner, and Nappa leather. The 2025 model is on sale now, but as mentioned above, it’s currently only available in 37 states, so you’ll want to check availability in your area before just showing up at a dealership.
