The Platinum trim now features a refreshed Black Onyx cabin with Platinum Blue accents. The truck is now available with a tire-pressure monitoring system for the trailer.
Design
Trims for the 2025 F-450 are XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, and Platinum. The XL and XLT are offered in single-cab and four-door crew cab models. The rest of the lineup is exclusively offered with the crew cab. All setups come standard with the dual-rear-wheel (“dually”) setup and an 8-foot truck bed.
Powertrain
The 2025 Ford F-450 Super Duty comes equipped with a 6.7-liter turbodiesel V8 engine, offered in one of two outputs. The standard version makes 475 horsepower and 1,050 pound-feet of torque. The high-output version churns out 500 horsepower and a mountain-moving 1,200 pound-feet of torque. Power is sent through a 10-speed automatic transmission to the rear wheels or available 4x4 in the XL trim. All other trims come exclusively with four-wheel drive (4WD). When properly equipped, the F-450 can tow up to 40,000 pounds using a gooseneck hitch.

Interior
The base F-450 XL is a pure work truck and comes with vinyl upholstery, manual climate control, and manual doors and locks. Upgraded trims are offered with leather upholstery, dual-zone automatic climate control, power-adjustable seats, heated and ventilated front seats, and heated rear seats. It’s also available with power adjustable pedals, lockable under-seat storage, and fold-flat seats for turning your seat into a makeshift bed when the day’s drive is done.
Technology
An 8-inch touchscreen comes standard in the F-450 XL trim. It includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Upgraded trims come with a 12-inch touchscreen, a wireless charging pad, and a premium Bang & Olufsen sound system. The truck is also offered with Pro Power Onboard provides power for tools, while onboard scales with Smart Hitch measure payload weight. It’s also available with a Trailer Navigation system that optimizes the route based on trailer size for safer towing.

Big trucks like this offer a bit more a-la-carte optioning of features. As such, automatic emergency braking is optional on XL, standard on XLT, and above. The XLT is also available with a 360-degree parking camera. Moving up to the Lariat adds the option of a blind-spot monitoring system that can also accommodate the trailer. The Lariat is also available with Ford Co-Pilot 360, which includes adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning, and a head-up display.
