Though it’s not the largest Audi SUV on the market, the mid-size Audi Q8 is currently Audi’s flagship SUV. The Q8 competes with similarly styled luxury crossovers including the BMW X6, the Mercedes-Benz GLE, and the Porsche Cayenne.

What’s New for the 2025 Audi Q8
Audi gave the Q8 a facelift for the 2024 model year, so it’s not surprising that the crossover looks much the same heading into 2025. There is one key update, though: Traffic-sign recognition is now standard. The 2025 Q8 is offered in Premium, Premium Plus, and Prestige trims.
Design
The Q8 is considered a coupe SUV thanks to its sloping rear roofline, which gives it a sportier and more aggressive appearance compared to the larger Audi Q7. Carrara White is the only free exterior color option for 2025. Each of the six available metallic colors carries a $595 additional charge, as does the Daytona Gray Pearl offered for higher trims.
21-inch wheels come standard on the 2025 Q8, in a five-W-spoke design. 22-inch wheels featuring a five-double-arm design are available with any trim, but they will add $2,600 to your bill. Alternatively, you could spend that on the Black Optic Package, which will get you not only the 22-inch wheels but also dark chrome exhaust tips, an Anthracite Gray Audi emblem, and black exterior trim elements. Also available at some trim levels is a $750 S Line Style Package with unique bumpers and illuminated door sills.
Powertrain
The sole engine on offer for the 2025 Q8 is a 3.0-liter six-cylinder making 335 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque. The automaker’s quattro all-wheel-drive (AWD) system is standard, and Audi says the Q8 can sprint from zero to 60 mph in 5.5 seconds. An adaptive damping suspension is standard, but the top trim gets an upgraded comfort adaptive air suspension which can also be added to the middle Premium Plus trim as part of the $1,500 Executive Plus Package. For drivers seeking additional maneuverability, all-wheel steering is available on the top-trim Q8 Prestige for an extra $1,500.
EPA estimates place the ’25 Q8’s fuel economy at 17 mpg city, 23 highway, and 19 combined. Premium fuel is recommended.

Interior
The Audi Q8 is available with two rows and seating for five. Leather upholstery is standard, as befits a luxury vehicle. Four interior color schemes are offered in the standard material: Pando Gray, Okapi Brown, Black, or Saiga Beige. The top-of-the-line Q8 Prestige comes with upgraded Valcona and Cricket leather seats available in Black, Cedar Brown, or Saiga Beige.
Tri-zone climate control is standard, but the Premium Plus trim has four-zone automatic climate control. It also adds front-seat ventilation and four-way power adjustability for the front passenger, while the Prestige trim adds front-seat massage. A heated steering wheel is standard on the Premium Plus or available as part of the $1,100 Convenience Package on the base trim. The Executive Plus Package available on the Premium Plus adds further creature comforts like heated rear seats and power soft-closing doors.
Technology
The 2025 Q8 comes standard with a 10.1-inch infotainment display which features wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. In the base Q8 Premium, music plays through a standard 10-speaker stereo, but the Premium Plus trim upgrades to a Bang & Olufsen premium sound system. The Prestige trim adds a head-up display as well. Every Q8 gets a 12.3-inch driver-information display comprising a digital instrument cluster Audi calls Virtual Cockpit Plus. Wireless charging is not standard, but the Convenience Package can add it to the Q8 Premium for $1,100.
Safety
Audi has added traffic-sign recognition to the Q8’s standard equipment for 2025. It joins a long list of standard safety and driver-assistance features including adaptive cruise control with lane guidance, front and rear parking sensors with side-sensing capability, lane-keep assist, rear cross-traffic alert, blind spot warning, lane-departure warning, and more. A top view camera system with Virtual 360 becomes standard starting on the Premium Plus trim or can be added to the base Q8 Premium as part of the Convenience Package. Other options include night vision assistant, which is available on the top trim for $2,500.
Though it did not achieve top marks in every category, the 2025 Audi Q8 performed well enough in testing with the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) to earn a 2024 Top Safety Pick award.

Pricing and Release Date
As of this writing, base MSRP for the 2025 Audi Q8 is listed at $75,695 with the mandatory $1,295 destination fee. The Premium Plus trim starts at $79,795, and the Prestige starts at $83,795, but it can easily approach the $100k mark when fully equipped with available features. The 2025 Q8 is on sale now.
