What’s New for the 2025 Alfa Romeo Giulia
Alfa ditched the ultra-high-performance Quadrifoglio trim for 2025 and slashed the car’s available models to two. That cut the rowdy V6 engine from the lineup, leaving a turbocharged four-cylinder, though all-wheel drive (AWD) remains optional. A new Intensa Special Series car is available for 2025, which includes 19-inch black wheels, black brake calipers with the Alfa Romeo logo, black and tan leather upholstery, and more.
Design
Thanks to Alfa Romeo’s distinctive styling, the Giulia looks like nothing else on the road. It features the brand’s signature grille design, with a vertically-oriented opening beneath the front badge and large air intake vents in the lower front fascia. The car features a sleek design with sculpted sides and a clean rear-end look.
Powertrain
The 2025 Giulia comes with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine making 280 horsepower and 306 pound-feet of torque. While that’s a significant step down from earlier model years’ Quadrifoglio model, the Giulia is still able to make the zero-60-mph run in around 5.5 seconds. An eight-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive (RWD) are standard, but Alfa offers AWD as well. The car’s handling is sharp in any available configuration, and its steering is confidence-inspiring. That said, it can take some time to get used to the brakes, as they can be more sensitive than many expect at first.
Interior
The Giulia seats five people on standard leather upholstery. Other default features include heated and power-adjustable front seats, a heated steering wheel, and heated rear seats. While it’s advertised as a five-seater, the car is much more comfortable with four, as the rear bench is tight on legroom as it is, and the middle seat isn’t very accommodating for anyone taller than a toddler.
Technology
Alfa equips the 2025 Giulia with an 8.8-inch touchscreen and a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster with configurable displays. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are also standard, along with HD radio, SiriusXM, dual-zone climate control, wireless phone charging, four USB ports, and navigation. A Harman Kardon 14-speaker stereo is available. The Giulia’s infotainment system is responsive and mostly easy to use, thanks to the Uconnect-based interface, and it’s got a good number of standard features.
Safety
The 2025 Giulia hasn’t been crash-tested by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) as of this writing. It gets a long list of standard driver aids, however, including parking sensors, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, and more. Higher trims add adaptive cruise control with lane centering, driver-attention warning, traffic-sign recognition, and traffic-jam assist.
Pricing and Release Date
As of the time of this writing, the 2025 Alfa Romeo Giulia starts at $45,990, which includes a $1,595 destination charge. That pricing can increase by a few thousand dollars, depending on the selected options and drivetrain configurations.
