For 2024, the Tesla Model X receives several updates and the replacement of the steering yoke with a traditional steering wheel (the controversial yoke remains optional). The Model X also features an upgraded windshield that allows more sunlight into the cabin.

Design

The Model X features Tesla's signature minimalist aesthetic combined with futuristic elements. The falcon-wing doors remain a defining feature, providing both style and practical access to the second and third rows. Trims for the Model X are Long Range and Plaid. Powertrain

The Long Range trim is equipped with a dual-motor all-wheel-drive (AWD) system producing 670 horsepower. The Model X Plaid features a tri-motor setup generating a staggering 1,020 horsepower. Both versions have a 100-kWh battery pack. When properly equipped, the Model X can tow up to 5,000 pounds.

The Model X can travel up to 348 miles on a single charge, while the Plaid offers a range of up to 333 miles. Thanks to Tesla’s Supercharger network, the Model X can add an impressive 175 miles of range in just 15 minutes of charging.

With all rear seats folded, the Model X provides up to 85 cubic feet of cargo space. In the two-row model, with the second row in use, the Model X provides 37 cubic feet behind the rear seats. The Model X comes with a power liftgate.

Technology

Standard infotainment features for 2024 include a 17-inch touch screen and a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster. There’s even a rear-seat 8-inch touchscreen. The Model X comes with Bluetooth, multiple USB ports, and wireless device charging. Available infotainment features include streaming music, internet browsing, and even karaoke. What you don’t get: Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.

The 2024 Tesla Model X boasts an extensive array of safety features. Included as standard are automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning, and blind-spot monitoring. Additionally, it comes with a sophisticated suite of driver-assistance technologies, such as Tesla's Enhanced Autopilot and the optional Full Self-Driving package.

The 2024 Model X features the advanced Autopilot system, offering automatic lane-keeping, adaptive cruise control, and self-parking. The optional Full Self-Driving package further enhances functionality with auto summon, auto lane change, and traffic-light recognition.
