What’s New for the 2024 Jeep Grand Wagoneer

For 2024, the Grand Wagoneer engine lineup has been revised and simplified. There are no more V8 engines, just a powerful turbocharged inline-six.

Design

Both the Grand Wagoneer and the Jeep Wagoneer have the same massive, blocky profile, but the Grand Wagoneer elevates its presence with more chrome and exterior details to give it a more stately appearance. Trims for the Grand Wagoneer are Base, Obsidian, Series III, and Series III Obsidian. 20-inch wheels are standard, and stepping up to the Obsidian replaces them with black 22-inch wheels, as well as numerous dark exterior accents.

Powertrain

The lone engine offered in the 2024 Grand Wagoneer is a 3.0-liter inline-six-cylinder engine. Before you lament the discontinuation of the V8 engine, note that this six-cylinder makes 510 horsepower and 500 pound-feet of torque—more than the V8 offered.

Power is routed through an eight-speed automatic transmission to standard four-wheel drive (4WD). Fuel economy ratings are 14 mpg city, 20 mpg highway, and 17 mpg combined. This engine requires premium fuel. When properly equipped, the Grand Wagoneer can tow up to 9,800 pounds.

Interior

The Grand Wagoneer comes loaded up with leather upholstery and heated front- and second-row seats. The front seats also get ventilation, massage, and 24-way power-adjusting functions standard. Other standard features include a wall-style power outlet, a panoramic sunroof, remote start, quad-zone automatic climate control, and remote keyless entry. The Obsidian trim adds ventilated rear seats, upgraded Palermo leather upholstery, and a cooler in the front center console.

The Grand Wagoneer provides 28.4 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats. Dropping the third row increases cargo space to 72.9 cubic feet. With all rear seats folded, the Grand Wagoneer provides up to 96.9 cubic feet of cargo space, accessed via a standard hands-free power liftgate.

Technology

The standard 12-inch touchscreen infotainment system is easy to use and includes Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Amazon Alexa. Other tech features include wireless device charging and a fully digital instrument panel. It’s available with a dual-screen rear-seat entertainment system, a passenger-side touchscreen, and a 23-speaker McIntosh premium audio system.

Safety

The 2024 Grand Wagoneer comes with a long list of standard driver-assistance features, including forward collision warning, pedestrian and cyclist detection, forward and reverse automatic emergency braking, front and rear parking sensors, lane-departure warning, and adaptive cruise control that can stop and go with the flow of traffic.

The Grand Wagoneer also comes equipped with a 360-degree parking camera system, rain-sensing windshield wipers, a head-up display, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. Higher trims feature night vision, driver-attention monitoring, and traffic-sign recognition.
