What’s New for the 2024 Genesis GV60
For its second year on the market, Genesis gave the GV60 a new rear-wheel-drive (RWD) base model with a longer range estimate. All variants now come standard with a Wi-Fi hotspot and a digital key system.
Design
The GV60 sports an eye-catching design with dramatic curves and a futuristic look overall. Its sleek front end features a prominent lower grille and Genesis’s now-familiar slim split headlights. The rear has a more traditional SUV look, with split tail lights that mirror the front-end design and a dramatic sloped rear window.
Powertrain
GV60 buyers have three powertrain options to choose from. The entry-level configuration features a single rear-mounted electric motor making 225 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. The mid-range model has two electric motors producing a combined 314 hp and 446 lb-ft of torque, and the top configuration boosts that total output to 429 hp and 516 lb-ft. RWD comes standard and all-wheel drive (AWD) is available.
The base GV60 offers 294 miles of range, and stepping up to the mid-range Advanced trim knocks that number down to 248 miles. The top Performance trim only delivers 235 miles due to its increased power and larger wheels.
Interior
The GV60’s cabin is just as gorgeous as its exterior. It seats five people on standard synthetic leather upholstery, and heated front seats are on board by default. More expensive configurations add Nappa leather, heated rear seats, ventilated and massaging front seats, and a heated steering wheel.
Technology
The 2024 GV60 has a 12.3-inch touchscreen and a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, SiriusXM radio, HD radio, dual-zone automatic climate control, face and fingerprint recognition, and more come standard. Genesis offers a Bang & Olufsen 17-speaker audio system in higher trims.
Safety
The 2024 Genesis GV60 earned a Top Safety Pick+ award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), thanks in part to the automaker’s generous advanced driver-assistance features. The list includes blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, driver-attention monitoring, adaptive cruise control with stop and go, pedestrian and cyclist detection, junction assist, safe exit warnings, automatic high beams, a head-up display, and forward and reverse parking sensors. Available tech includes remote smart parking assist, a surround-view camera system, a blind-spot camera system, and rear seat reminder.
Pricing and Release Date
As of this writing, the 2024 Genesis GV60 starts at $53,350, which includes a $1,350 destination charge. The Advanced AWD model starts at $61,900, and the Performance AWD costs $70,900.
