What’s New for the 2024 Audi A5
For the 2024 model year, the Audi A5 gains additional standard advanced driver assistance features. It also gains a standard heated steering wheel.
Design
The A5 has an elegant, swooping body style and sharp, angular headlights that frame up a large front grille. The A5 is offered in Premium, Premium Plus, and Prestige trims. All trims come standard with 18-inch alloy wheels and are available with 19-inch alloy wheels. Premium Plus and Prestige trims are both offered with a Black Optics Package that adds 19-inch wheels, black exterior trim, black grille, and dark exhaust tips. A black-painted roof is also a standalone option.
Powertrain
The Audi A5 Coupe and Cabriolet both come with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. It makes 261 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque. Power is routed through a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission to Quattro all-wheel drive (AWD). This setup allows for a zero-to-60 time of 5.3 seconds in the A5 Coupe. The A5 Coupe and Cabriolet both have a top speed of 130 mph.
Fuel economy estimates for the A5 Cabriolet are 24 mpg city, 33 mpg highway, and 27 mpg combined. The A5 Coupe returns fuel economy of 24 mpg city, 32 mpg highway, and 27 mpg combined. The Audi A5 requires premium fuel.
Interior
Standard features on the A5 Premium include leather upholstery, tri-zone automatic climate control, a panoramic sunroof, heated front seats, and a heated steering wheel. Stepping up to the Premium Plus adds an upgraded Bang & Olufsen sound system, wireless device charging, and a fully digital instrument panel. On the Cabriolet, an available Warm Weather Package adds ventilated front seats and a neck-level heating system. The Warm Weather Package is optional on the Premium Plus and included on the Prestige. The A5 Coupe is available with an S Line interior appearance package that adds brushed aluminum inlays, stainless steel pedal covers, and upgraded interior upholstery.
Technology
The A5 comes equipped with a 10.1-inch touch screen infotainment system. It includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It is available with satellite radio and a Wi-Fi hot spot.
Safety
Standard driver-assistance features on the Audi A5 include forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, automatic high beams, pedestrian detection, front and rear parking sensors, lane-departure warning, and lane-keeping assist. The Premium trim’s Convenience Package adds blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert. These features are standard on the Premium Plus, as is a surround view camera system. The Prestige trim adds parking assist and a head-up display.
Pricing and Release Date
At the time of this writing, the 2024 Audi A5 Coupe has a base MSRP of $48,400 for the Premium, $52,500 for the Premium Plus, and $56,650 for the Prestige. The A5 Cabriolet has a starting price of $55,600 for the Premium, $59,700 for the Premium Plus, and $64,700 for the Prestige. The A5 is backed by a four-year/50,000-mile limited warranty.
