Air Filters

My car has recently been getting worse on fuel and is using more than usual! It's a 1.1 Peugeot 206 petrol. Just wondering will changing the air filters make a difference in this?

£697.30 Too Much For Rear Axle Replacement And Repair Cost?

Took my car to a garage and they have said that i need a new rear axle as mine is broken. Asked them for a quote and they said it would be £697.30. Does that sound right or a bit steep?
