Bought this for our large family of 11 and Im very happy. The one ton XLT extended version with the high top has room for everyone and lots of groceries. Weve even used it to tow my 10,000 lb dump trailer. One tip for anyone who lives in a hot climate such as Texas, go online and find a high idle switch and have the Ford company install it. Youll spend around $500 for the part and labor but it will tremendously increase the cooling ability at idle. Great for large families that leave half the family in the van while shopping at Walmart! A couple of complaints is that it rides a little bit low and we scrape on a lot of areas. Also is rather noisy and does not have the best ride at highway speeds. The high top gets blown all over the place in even a slight wind. Gas mileage is also very poor at 11.4 miles a gallon. But when compared to the Dodge or the Nissan vans this one outperforms all of them for what our needs are. lastly, if I could purchase this again I would get the newer version with all wheel drive. We just had an ice storm in Texas and got stuck a few times even though it has traction control.

We bought the 2018 dual-wheel Transit passenger van to convert into a camper because it has full windows for sightseeing. After driving the van home we are really happy with the way it drives and handles for such a large vehicle. The 3.5L Ecoboost engine is super smooth & has all the power we will need. Very happy so far!
