Spring for console latch 2013-2016 Mazda CX-5
While I was replacing the center console latch on 2016 Mazda CX-5, I lost the spring. Haven’t been able to track one down. Any suggestions? Just need the spring, or pin and spring.

Need a value-laden small crossover for work or play? Check out Mazda’s 2016 CX-5. This 5-passenger, 5-door mini-ute comes with a bunch of upgrades for the upcoming model year, including a new grille and available LED taillights to complement the 2015’s debuting (and optional) LED headlights. Further changes include interior upgrades, such as a new push-button emergency brake that eliminates the old-fashioned e-brake handle. Also new for 2016 are upgrades to the available driver-assistance functions, including adaptive cruise control and collision-mitigating braking. Finally, the touted Mazda Connect telematics technology has been re-branded as the Human-Machine system, which sounds sort of apocalyptic, although a number of reviewers rate this upgraded infotainment interface as a hefty improvement over the old technology.
Trims for 2016 remain as the base CX-5 Sport, midlevel Touring and top-shelf Grand Touring, all standard with front-wheel drive (FWD) and full-time all-wheel drive (AWD) returning as an option.
Power-wise, look for the return of the underwhelming 2.0-liter inline 4-cylinder (I4) as the standard engine in the Sport FWD trim. Managed by either a standard 6-speed manual transmission or an available 6-speed shiftable automatic transmission, this plodder puts out 155 hp and 150 lb-ft of torque. Mileage figures, meantime, return at 26 mph city/35 highway in FWD stick-shift form, and 26/32 with FWD and the automatic transmission.
For some added grunt, try the 2.5-liter I4 powerplant that comes standard in the Sport AWD, and the Touring and Grand Touring editions toting either drivetrain. This peppier 4-cylinder is available only with the 6-speed shiftable automatic, and puts out 184 hp and 185 lb-ft of torque to the tune of 25/32 in FWD-equipped versions, and 24/30 in AWD iterations. Both engines are touted to tow up to 2,000 pounds with the proper equipment, but using the larger mill will ensure a more carefree towing experience.
Complementing the CX-5’s new look and feel are 17-inch alloy wheels, a rear spoiler, and — on the Grand Touring — a power sunroof and 19-inch alloy wheels, all of which return as standard exterior adornments. Inside, the upgraded cabin continues to tote, depending on the trim selected, cloth or leather upholstery, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, heated front seats, full power accessories, cruise control, and telescoping tilt-wheel steering. The Grand Touring also offers a couple of new leather upholstery color choices. Lower trims, meantime, pack in manual air conditioning as standard equipment, with higher trims adding dual-zone auto climate control and a rear-view camera.
Expect the Sport trim to offer a standard single-CD player with 4 speakers and a USB connection, while the 2016 CX-5 Touring adds an extra pair of speakers. The Grand Touring will carry a 9-speaker Bose premium stereo with satellite radio and an additional USB port. Upper-echelon editions of this pint-sized Mazda crossover boast the new-for-2016 Human-Machine infotainment system that features a center-console-mounted controller reminiscent of certain German luxury brands.
Noteworthy options for the CX-5 lineup, finally, include LED headlights, a roof rack with side rails, remote engine start, GPS navigation, and new-for-2016 wheel upgrades.
Standard safety equipment returning on all 2016 CX-5 trims includes 4-wheel antilock brakes (ABS), front side-mounted airbags, front and rear head airbags, turn-signal-integrated mirrors, daytime running lights and a remote antitheft alarm. Higher trims, meanwhile, additionally sport standard front fog/driving lights, rear parking sensors, and a post-collision safety system, with the Grand Touring again featuring standard blind-spot monitoring. All of the above is bolstered by the previously mentioned upgrades to the available Driver Assistance package, optional high-intensity-discharge (HID) headlights, and an auto-dimming rear-view mirror with integrated remote garage-door-opener.

I dont know why everytime you buy something, they always ask for a review when you havent even had any time to use it. This is not any different. I can say that this is a nice car. From the onboard Navigation, handsfree calling and Bose stereo system just to name a few. It has a peppy engine nice comfortable ride. I purchased a 2015 Touring trim for my daughter with 122k miles. She loves it! It drives very smooth for the number of miles; and the body, interior, and suspension are tight and in excellent condition. Her dark blue metallic exterior came with a sunroof and light colored interior, so it feels airy. The infotainment system with Bose speakers was first generation, so not as nice as the 2016’s and beyond, yet it does the job--Bluetooth was our main need. Great value. Mazda does a lot right with their cars and the 2016 cx5 gt is an example of that. Not exactly quick, but the non turbo 2.5 moves the car along just fine - certainly enough for most drivers. Nice features, best small suv for those who enjoy driving. Very reliable, all around solid choice.

I got locked out of my Mazda CX-5 GrandTour at 9:30pm about 500 miles away from my home. My heart dropped! I had just arrived at the hotel and my purse with my credit cards, my cell phone, my car keys (key less) were all inside. Why hasn’t Mazda fixed this problem yet? I have read many reports like this one dating back 5 years ago??? Fortunately I had accidentally left one of the back windows a little bit open and the manager at the hotel called a friend who came with a long string wiry thing and he reached out to the door handle and got the door opened. Yes, it’s technologically loaded. I love the feature where in cruise control it automatically slows down and speeds up depending on the distance of the car in front. It also has a very luxurious feel, without the price tag of the luxury brands. Overall very satisfied. Only one negative, from a floor space aspect in the back row, it’s not as generous as my Honda CRV. My golden retriever has a hard time squeezing in there. I had been looking forward to actually test driving an CX5 for months, but there had never been one close enough.
So finally, this one was a mile away.
I was shocked at how loud it was, how uncomfortable the seats were, the incredible awkwardness of the winsheild wiper controls,. And again, how loud it was.
The handling and acceleration were way above par, as expected, but the noise , discomfort and confusion made something I was truly looking forward to, something I was disapponted about.
Never meet your heros.
Sincerely hope the GT is superior. I sincerely hope to find a newer, quieter and more comforatble model soon, to rinse the tast of this experience from my mouth.Nov 11, 2020

BUY ONE! infotainment system is fine and the speakers sound good. buy an after market amplifier for your door speakers (bout $200 -$400 installed) if you arent satisfied. How long can I go without changing my oil?
I bought a 2016 Mazda CX-5 7 months ago and only have about 2850 miles on it, which shows that I don't drive often or very far. According to my manual it's suggested that I should change my oil at 5000 miles or at 4 months, whichever comes first. The dealership told me 6-7 months would be the cut off point to which I should get an oil change if I don't reach 5000 miles. Is this accurate? And could I go longer without changing my oil if I don't reach the 5000 miles even if it takes me 12 months to do so? Thanks!

Mazda 2016 Airbag light always flashing. Dealer said…
They charged me $155. + tax to run a diagnostic test on the airbag sensor. I was told I need a new sensor, and because it is located in the seat cushion I will need a new sensor and cushion that will cost $900 + and they would apply the $155. To that charge. This all seems excessive to me.
