This car is a must have for any household. It is a perfect combination of utility, comfort, reliability. It is also a fun to drive and handles no less than VW Golf. I made 110k in 3 years and never had a single issue with it. It is also looks, sounds and drives exactly the same as it did 110k ago. The engine is non-turbo 5 cyl. and does not require a premium fuel, also really fuel efficient. Too bad they discontinued this engine in a newer cars. In conclusion, if you will find one still in good condition - grab it.

Always loved the sportwagen. Particularly 2011 and up. Space, handling, power, comfort, appealing. Finding one that has been well cared for and maintained at a fair price, good luck.

Has enough features to make it comfortable but not to complicated . Value wise i think it`s built very well and solid and you don`t have to spend a small fortune to own and operate it .

Gutless Pig — I purchased the car in anticipation for a long commute, and not wanting to put miles on my MK4 GTI, and it was great on fuel, but I just couldn't deal with the lack of power (even after a stage 1 REVO tune) and had to sell her.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: MPG, MPG, MPG

Cons: Power, Power, Power

Excellent, Inexpensive Family Car. — This is a perfect car for driving to soccer games, or taking family road trips. The car handles excellently, has great fuel economy, and has a lot of options even in the base model. I love the gas mileage we get both in town and on the freeway. My wife loves the bluetooth connection to her iPhone so she can take a legal call in the car. I can't find any negatives.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Excellent handling station wagon

Cons: None.  This car is perfect for us

2014 Volkswagen Jetta SportWagen TDI FWD with Sunroof and Navigation Review
djemge says:
I loved my 2014 VW Jetta SportWagen, TDI. Only traded it in because VW bought it back due to the emissions controversy and legalities in the US. I immediately bought the 2015 VW Golf SportWagen SEL TDI. The Jetta front seats are more comfortable, and the headroom is much better than the newer Golf. I got 40 to 45 mpg with the Jetta TDI, but get 45 to 56mpg with the Golf TDI. Both are fun to drive with very responsive engines.

"The sporty seats are more bolstered which are perfect for my son, but not as comfortable for those with medium to larger body types The Jetta seats were more comfortable overall, but not as stylish."
