Toyota Reliability In An Impressive, Powerful Truck Package. — The Toyota Tacoma TRD has the power, beefed up brakes and shocks to tackle any rough terrain. On city roads, it drives and handles with aplomb. Long drives on freeways and country roads are surprisingly smooth and quiet for a truck. Gas mileage could be better but it is a V6. Splendid fit and finish and impressive looks. Tough to beat.

Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

Pros: Well-built, powerful and reliable truck. Good balanced use of space in the double cab.

Cons: Need running board/step to climb up the cab. Ride bouncy on low speed bumpy trails.

Excellent Little Truck — A nice looking vehicle that can carry moderate loads. Comfortable and practical interior. Good road handling manners. Weak 4-cylinder engine - have to really push it at highway speeds. Recently purchased, and hoping for good reliability - want this truck to last 10+ years.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Cargo carrying capacity, solid reliability

Cons: Weak 4 cylinder engine, sometimes choppy ride

Best Midsize Truck On The Market — I've had my Tacoma for a little over a year now and use it as my farm/work truck. It's been loaded down with lumbar, firewood, concrete, cinderblocks, you name it, I've used it to tow heavy trailers, I've had it in the mud, and I've had it on the highway. These are great all around trucks they are small enough to be easy to drive and park yet they are very robust in design. They are great off-road and have impressive towing capacity. The looks are sharp and there are tons of aftermarket parts if you want to customize them along with a very strong user community. They are extremely reliable and Toyota offer a 2 year maintenance program to cover all you basic maintenance. The four door has a spacious interior and the seats fold down for additional storage while not in use. They have plastic covers and an innovation storage compartment design behind the seat to add even more function. Needless to say I love this truck.

Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

Pros: Great Looking Trucks, Solid & Dependable, Good Payload, Decent Mileage, Great off-road, Power Outlet in bed

Cons: Would like more power & better pickup

Love The Toyota Tacoma — This is a my third Toyota and I am hooked. This model is much newer since my last purchase of one in the 90's. I must say that the truck is a bit bigger than I remember or perhaps I am shrinking...

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Great all round truck with full size seating.

Cons: I have none at this time.

Great Truck — Love this truck. Gas mileage is OK (other than my Prius....). I use this truck to daily activities. I added a Leer cab over the bed. Lots of storage in back and under back seat. Great suspension. Great for long trips.

Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

Pros: Great leg room in front and back.

    Cons: Handles like a truck.

Awesome — The truck is perfect. Small pick up trucks are the best for a utilitarian that needs it all. This truck rides great on the road and is excellent off road. The truck is unstoppable in the snow and the reliability is top notch. I get great gas mileage out of this truck, as long as I drive conservatively. Great power, the truck will tow 6500 lbs without the slightest issues. The build quality is what you expect out of a Toyota. I totally recommend this truck and will always be a Tacoma fan for life. Toyota makes the best vehicles and this truck is living proof.

Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

Pros: Looks, comfort, reliability, awesome resale, excellent handling on the road and a very capable off road vehicle.

    Cons: Lacks some technology

Very Stylish For A Pickup — Like the color and styling of the whole truck. The towing abbillity is good for small trailers and the comfort is ok. I would recomend this truck to anybody for every day use its very dependable. Toyota has really come a long way as far as rust prevention also.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Great on fuel and lots of passanger space

    Cons: small but practical bed

Beware Of Noise After Turning Off Ignition — I truly hope Toyota seriously looks into the after Ignition turn off annoying noise issue . As I have read several other owners with the same type of experience. Perhaps a Recall would justify Toyota Corporation correcting this situation on the new 2013's. Other than that this '13 would be great.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

    Pros: Comfort, Styling, Handling.

Cons: poor stereo audio, bluetooth ring sounds like a tin can.
Worst is the annoying sound every time Ignition is shut off.  Like a starter sound and bit of air suction relief.

Perfect Dad Truck - Excellent Truck Overall — I love this truck!!! Came from a 2008 Toyota Tundra and the Tacoma is so much easier to drive, better fuel economy and it fits my family of four perfectly. I bought a texas edition v6bprerunner, this car's ride and reliability is solid
