Ive been wanting an STI since they made it to the states in the early 2000s. I finally pulled the trigger on my favorite body style, a 2013 Hatchback. So far the car is everything I had hoped it would be. Even for a big (285) tall (62) guy its fairly easy to get in and out of. The driving position is fantastic, with plenty of leg and shoulder room, and the seats feel very sporty. There is plenty of room in the back seat for two normal size adults, or three children. My only complaints so far: Crappy window motors. Its an exercise in frustration to roll up all 4 windows when its time to park. It wouldnt be a huge deal, but the window motors are $$$$$ to replace in this car. The clutch. Ive been driving manual transmission vehicles for 25 years. This car doesnt like to get moving without keeping the RPM quite high, and I have a tendency to kill it trying to take it easy. On the other hand, hard launches feel great. Racecar things. Overall I love this car and it is exactly what I wanted. Im glad I pulled the trigger when I did, and plan to keep it and wrench on it until Im physically unable to drive it anymore.

Looks good overall. No apparent paint or body damage. Drives well. It has a number of modifications. I noticed Cobb intake, headers, Cobb cat back exhaust. BOV, oils catch can. Lowered, upgraded sway bars. Track brake pad that don’t work at all until warmed up. Has a rev limiter set at 6000 instead of redline. Overpriced due to the modifications. If it was stock this price would be better.

It was plainly an Abomination to all STIs Out there. The most that car is worth is $10,000.00 to a person who is very handy at fixing Automobiles!

Sedan By Day Sports Car By Boost — I think Subaru did a great job when combining work and pleasure and it turns heads kids love it!!! It's options for suspension control and six speed manual transmission with hill assist along with the turbo charged four cylinder engine are all a great match

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Handles like a dream has  more horsepower and torque than your average sedan

Cons: Interior noise  all wheel drive and handling equals less gas mileage

Great All-around Car! — This car is the best of all worlds. It has great performance, a sporty look, lots of room, and is practical for almost anything. The handling is very good but not too stiff that you feel every bump. Fun car.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Sporty, Lots of Room, Practical

Cons: Gas Mileage, Price

2013 Sti — A very very fun car to drive, looks and sounds amazing and is great for both the car enthusiast and the daily driver. A short throw is a must and livens up the drive and essentially the cons can be all cancelled out by aftermarket parts (replace the tune-->better power response/handling/safer for enginer, replace tune-->no need for SoA warranty, add parts and take things apart, add foam to plastic on plastic interfaces and eliminate vibration) I would definitely clear bra or vinyl the paint, I thought it wouldn't be that bad but the paint chips like no other. Would definitely get another STi over any other car in the price range.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Absolutely a thrill to drive, handles pretty well from the factory but could still be much better with new sway bars/coilovers. Decent throttle response from the factory. Interior dash is sleek and clean, bucket seats are comfortable. Engine growl is nice and throaty. Retains value.

Cons: Poor factory tune, SoA warranty, Paint chips way too easily, Lots of plastic on plastic vibrations

Quick Car, Practical Family Sports Car — Some Turbo-lag off the line from a stop but boost pressure builds quickly after. Handling is phenomenal, sure-footed and safe and secure. Smooth 6 speed manual transmission, short-clutch, easy engagement point. A attention car getter for sure. Excellent stopping power from the firm Brembo Brakes

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Handling, easy to drive, nice bucket seats hold you in tight on sharp corners. Excellent stopping power from the brembo brakes.

Cons: Loud Idle exhaust drone, rear-ward visibility with sedan sti spoiler.

If You Can Afford It Buy One, Or The Sti — There is not a thing i would change performance wise for a while, it keeps you entertained and is fun even for longer trips to work. it does have a few rattles, but nothing out of the ordinary for a subaru. it has an average cost of ownership where the gas is a little more than some people would like, but the maintenance is very low. the car looks great, and is very fun to drive

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: everythiing

Cons: the radio, not the speakers, just the headunit

Very Impressive Pull With Lots Of Torque And Very Classy And Comfortable Inside. — This car has great looks and performance that set it apart from the rest of the 4 door sedans out there. I will buy a Subaru STI again, this is my third one and I still love them. There were no warranty issues with this car, only routine maintenance, never had to open the hood except to stare at the engine. It will put you back in your seat and look good doing it.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Excellent Power and handling, Gotta love that Boxer rumble

Cons: Only about 25 mpg if you are very easy on the throttle
