And it's a sports car that you can drive at 10/10th of its ability on public roads. Try that in a Porsche or Corvette. Great Little Car — The golf GTI is an excellent little car. With the hatchback you can carry lots of stuff in it. It's comfortable, gets about 30 miles per gallon and has the power to pass people at will. My only problem with this car is that it's a German car with German car maintenance costs. Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: Great handling, versatile little car that gets very good gas mileage for as fast as it is. Cons: VW's have high maintenance costs, this car is no exception. |

I Love Everything About My Gti — I love my GTI, I have owned 3 of them, and my next car will most likely be a GTI as well. It is sporty, practical, comfortable, and the interior is nicer than many luxury brands. We also have a 3 series BMW, I prefer driving the GTI. I have the Autobahn, with push button start, leather, Navigation, and Dynaudio. The sound system in this car is phenomenal. Primary Use: Commuting to work

Ive owned many GTI's, Cons: repairs can be expensive, but they are reliable if you maintain them. |

Hella Fun With Gti, Some Minor Misses!! — I really do love my car. This set of tires are great in any weather. It is a lot of fun to drive, but power could be more ample. In turn, so could fuel economy. All in all, GREAT PURCHASE Pros: Handling and Size. it is a lot of fun to hustle around. Stock Pirelli's are GREAT. Cons: Fuel economy should be much better for the mild power. Not as much storage options up front. Suspension can be jarring over rough road. |

Performance, Fun, Save Gas! — There is nothing I dislike about this car. Even stock, this car will surprise you with the performance. But, with the minimalist of upgrades, it unlocks this car's true performance. This car right now is over 280hp and whips you to the back of your seat. Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: Everything is awesome about this car. If you're looking for a car with performance and tons of unlockable power in the stock turbo, this is the car for you. Oh, wait did I mention, I get 34 MPG! There is no way you're going to get that performance out of a V8 with the MPG. Period Cons: Smaller car, but a lot bigger than I even thought. |

Wicked Fun To Own And Drive. — This is one smart looking car - From the cutting edge exterior trim lines to the sporty chrome line dash. The Interlagos plaid Recarro seats seals the deal looks-wise. This car is a beast if you get your revs about 3K and the turbo kicks in, but it's also very civilized - you can shift it at low RPM (under 1.5K!) and cruise at 40 MPH in 6th. This takes some getting used to, but it's fabulous. To top it off, fuel economy is quite decent. Whenever I drive my GTI I think to myself, why doesn't everyone drive a VW? Bravo, Vee-Dub, you've done it again! Primary Use: Family transportation Pros: Styling, Handling, Accelration Cons: Pricey wheels easily scuff if you drive sloppy (I do). |
