Overall Rating —

I've had the car for about 2 years now...I bought it used in 2013...it was a year old at the time with 12,000 miles on it. The Pros are great and honest (see aforementioned)...but the only scary issue I had was the sticking accelerator pedal that was causing my car to seemingly "accelerate on its own". Very dangerous. The first I brought it in to Kia they "ran the computer through it and test drove it" but couldn't find anything or replicate my horrifying and seemingly random experiences. After the second incident (2 weeks after the first)...I brought it AGAIN in and they discovered that the sticking accelerator pedal was the issue. They replaced it for free because I am currently only at 47,000 miles. I hope this helps anyone who has any issues and has been told that there is "nothing wrong" with their car when in fact they know there is. Be persistent! 2 VERY scary and dangerous (almost) accidents from my car accelerating on its own while driving, with the brakes on and in park. Luckily I was able both times to step on the brake hard, park and pull the key out. I also read that putting the car in neutral and pulling over and doing the aforementioned will work if sudden stopping on a thruway (for example) poses as dangerous. Hopefully this issue is ACTUALLY solved. I will keep you all posted if anything changes. I wish you all well with any endeavors that you may have.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Overall it's great. Good cost, great on gas, cool looking, and very spacious and modern looking inside.

Cons: Only issue so far was the accelerator pedal was sticking and was causing my car to accelerate on its own at times. Kia replaced the pedal for free because I am still under warranty.

Good Small Car — This car is affordable, fun, and reliable. Good mileage. A good, all-around compact car. Zips around town very nicely, but lacks power and room, even for a small car. Still, would buy again and recommend to anyone looking for a sub-compact.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: reliable, fun, sporty look and feel

Cons: Lacks response when power needed, back seat cramped

Average To Almost Good — I loved the look of the car, this is what drew mw to it, I did test drive one, but a short drive around the street is not like living with it day to day, the engine is harsh, unusual sounds from under the bonnet, injectors ticking loudly, transmission harsh until it warms up, auto, like the interior, the steering is precise, engine not very willing up hills, dealership support nearly non existent, warranty, don't know yet, would be a great car if they spent a little extra on the mechanicals, would have been prepared to have paid extra if the whole package was good, unfortunately it is far from this, would I buy one again, no, would go for a better brand, disappointed in a great looking car.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Style, interior, handling.

Cons: Fuel consumption, engine, transmission,  rear window to small.

A Modern Subcompact That Needs No Excuses. — Would trade some handling sharpness for a softer ride, steering feel is close to nil and very sensative to cross winds on freeways. Kia should head hunt some Ford chassis engineers like it did with Audi for it's designs. Rest of vehicule is very impressive.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Reliable, price, very respectable millage, modern appointments and looks sharp.

Cons: Harsh ride, no steering feel and sensative to side winds.

Good Car For Money, Better Driving In City. — I have this car for 5 months now and only complaint is the annoying ticking noise i get from the engine compartment. Hopefully i will get this sorted when i take it to the dealers next week, and then i will be able to give you my opinion on their great warranty.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Looks good. Drives well. All the bells and whistles:

Cons: Engine ticking noise: 1600km

Aussie Rio Sli — For a little car like this, it is easy to get blown away by its performance! yes it may have only 100 or so kilowatts BUT every other car in its class has from 50 - 90kW so this one is ahead of the game! so although no traffic light dragster, it has the uncanny ability to put a smile on your face when you put the foot down and arrive at the speed limit! brakes are fantastic, handling wise, it just grips the road like a cat thats got a grip onto curtains. Overall, it is an awesome car that allows you to have fun within the law and has the ability to sip fuel when driven efficiently (the trip computer at one stage said 3.9L/100Km!)

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: absolutely brilliant first car to own, no complaints!

Cons: probably the one touch lane change indicator function, I've accidentally activated it when I didn't want to and felt very awkward for indicating accidentally!
