Great sporty wagon. Solid, tight and very zippy. The TDI/6m is one of the last great wagons around. The 6sp. man. is rare but worth the additional premium. Tows exceptionally well. Unusually large wagon capacity. Huge mile range/fuel tank. Awsome ride. My Subaru Impreza hatch (35 Hy way MPG) wont go NEAR as far on its dinky fuel tank (refuel TOO often) and rides like a brick.

Had a 2012 and really liked it. Perfect for 2 people and a dog. Not the most comfortable but sporty and fun to drive. Diesel gets great mileage and the standard shift adds to the thrill.

Stylish And Practical — Drives like a german sedan with tons of cargo space; smooth ride, comfortable seats. Mileage could be better; 5 cylinder engine sounds gruff and noisy at startup. I've owned this car for 39 months, and no issues- just a new battery.

Pros: Cargo capacity, handling, style, seats, smooth ride

Cons: gruff engine, poor fuel economy

Awesome Car That Is Fun To Drive And Gets Fantastic Fule Economy ! — Over all I really like this car and would highly recommend it to anyone who wants high MPG and does not want to drive a little crappy car. Why would someone buy a tiny car that is not made very well or does not drive very well when they could get a VW like the Sportwagon TDI.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: This car is fun to drive and handles very well.  It gets great mileage with the TDI engine and the torque is awesome.  There is plenty of room for 4 or 5 people and lots of cargo.

Cons: The one thing I do not like is the AC control.  The one you really need to see is on the far right side and the temp is on the left.  During the daytime you can not read the dile to see where you are directing the air flow.  If the flipped positions it would be great.  If you drive all the time you would know which position was which but this is not my main driver car.  It does not bother my wife because she know where to set the dial.

What's Not To Love? — I have loved this car and almost everything about it. The only reason to sell is that my situation has changed and I need to get a more rugged car...as in a truck. If I could figure out how to have both cars I would keep this one forever. The huge panorama sunroof is a knock-out feature. The heated leatherette seats are easy on the eyes and easy to maintain. The car offers a sport mode that makes it feel like a supercharged rocket. And the sound system has all the bells and whistles. There is not much that I can say I do not like about this car.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Great ride quality.  Impeccable build quality.  Beautiful panorama roof.  Lots of cargo capacity.  Heated seats.  Bluetooth connectivity.  Great sound system.

Cons: Could get slightly better gas mileage.

Sporty, Fun Utility Car, Not Too Big For Us Anti-suv/crossover Folks, And Safe — Sunroof/17" alloy wheels, protection package. Personal story - I had a 'not at fault' head-on 'totaled' collision in a 2010 JSW. Engine absolutely smashed, passenger compartment remained unchanged. Walked away virtually unscathed. I immediately bought another one and tell all of my friends about this car. New one is salsa red/black. Love it.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: great mileage, great safety factor, great cargo capacity and looks cool

Cons: none

This car was better on gas mileage and much lower in price, even though they are made on the same assembly line. I'm a big guy, and fit into this sports car easily. Steering wheel lifts up and out, giving me great leg room to shift gears. With the fold down seats, it has as much cargo space as my F150.

Power Ranked 2015 Volkswagen Golf SportWagen TDI S worse.
"DEF tank plus the fix killed the power and MPG."
Handling Ranked 2015 Volkswagen Golf SportWagen TDI S worse.
"Because 2011 dont have DEF tank so it has better suspension over 2015 TDIs. 2015s has DEF tank and has lesser level of suspension which created more body roll at turns from street to other street."
