This smart is a great deal for the mileage it had on it. Not to mention the price is great. The reason I want to go from an SUV to a 2 seater like the smart car is because of the gas Id save. 39 mpg on the highway is awesome. Plus when I got into a smart fortwo I couldnt believe how roomy it is. And cute. Also made by Benz so the paint job is wonderful. I love love this one. Second choice was the fiat pop car. But the smarties is my favorite. Top off in summer and warm cozy in winter. Has so many great features I cant list them all. Try for yourself.

A Must Have In Nyc — The convertible top allows you to carry long items. I never worry about moving the car from a parking spot since I know I will always find another one. Freedom of moving around without the hassle. Super low gas usage.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Easy Parking and low fuel and environmentally friendly.

Cons: You must be extra careful with the potholes but that's a complain about the condition of the road, not the car itself.

Only For The Smart Car Enthusiast. Good To Be Project Car And Not Taken Seriously. — Horse power sucks and transmission sucks! Very very very basic car for very very basic functions. Good car for a teen's first/starter car. Not meant for moderate driving and i do not advise highway or bridge driving normal cars passing you by will blow you into the next lane if not careful.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Cute, easy and fun to drive, good on gas and parking.

Cons: No power, sluggish, transmission glitches and issues, seat belt buckles tend to break or wear out easily(driver side) and the engine is in the car with you in the back under cargo area so the temp can get a bit warm inside the car, need to use AC or fan while driving in it.

Great 5 Year Relationship. — Never let me down and always ready for fun. Easy to maintain and great on gas. Surprising on just how much you can fit inside, especially with passenger side fold down seat. The car also did better then most front wheel drive cars in the snow.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Grat parking and fun around town with the top down.

Cons: Small tires make for harsh entry and exits out of NY pot holes.

Smart Fortwo Passion — perfect car for NYC, great alt to taking cabs/subway, always can find parking. If you can get over the horrible transmission and don't do too much highway driving (max 2 hours) it's a great little city car. If you shift it manually you get a much smoother experience, not sure what they were thinking when they produced the transmission!!

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: best city car, can fit in the smallest spaces, mpg, no maintenance issues, descend cargo room

Cons: noise, transmission, driving over 75 mph takes some nerve

A Nice Surprise — After 37,500 miles, I have to say this car has been one of my biggest surprises. I bought it because I'm cheap and I liked the fuel economy, but hated to give up all the creature comforts. But this little car had legroom, and lots of options. I thought I'd probably not like the little car, but I was willing to make the sacrifice. But the car has won me over. It's surprisingly roomy, easy to own, even fun to drive. I love the power-convertible roof, the heated seats, the sound system. I've owned 25 or 30 cars, from M3's to Grand Wagonners, Sentras to 300D's. This is the only car that has surprised me, other than the M3. Both were a lot better than I thought they could be.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: I love this little car.  It's been an amazing what you can get into it.  It's a great little commuter car.  It's also fun to drive to events . . . parking is a dream.  You can shoehorn it in to spaces that no other car could fit in to.  It takes up about half the space in my garage that a normal car would.

Cons: It won't go over 100 mph.

Worst Car I Have Drove And Would Not Recommend To Anyone —

I don't even know where to start with this car. When I tested this car all I wanted to do was to see what all of the hype was. Everyone that I talked to that owned one of these cars said that they were the best things they've ever been in. All I can say is I don't know what's wrong with them because this was the worst car i have ever drove in my life. If we were in a large crowded city then this interview would be totally different, but where I drove this car most of the roads i was on was motor ways. The car that I drove was a Pure model which is a nice way of saying it cheap with nothing in it. When they were building this car they stripped everything unnecessary to keep it cheap and lightweight, but i think that they went a little to far with this. With a car these days there are just things that should be standard on a car and power steering is one of them, and i don't think Mercedes-Benz got the memo on that one. When accelerating in this car the only way to star relatively comfortable is by hardly touching the gas pedal because when you do go hard on the pedal the shifting is absolutely horrid. Using the clutch-less manual transmission shifting is supposed to be made smoother but in the Fourtwo you go flying forward and then flying backwards every time. Another thing that is horrible in this car is the top speed. 144 km/h is higher than any speed limit that I have seen but still we all know people dont go the speed limit. And if your in a hurry or trying to overtake someone this car just wont cut it. The interior on this car was just hideous. Although one good thing about this car is that there is a lot of room in the cabin as the result of no boot. But the color choices are ugly and everything was made from cheap products. The exterior styling of the Fourtwo isn't much better than the interior. It's ugly, made from cheap materials, and the panels just fall off.

Pros: Small, Good mpg

Cons: Poor Performance, Bad Styling, Cheap Materials, Not Safe
