What can a buyer do to prevent wasting time buying a non-existant vehicle
I have been looking for a used Toyota Tacoma, and would need to fly to the city to purchase based on my price budget. I have been reading how some dealers are using a "good deal " to lure buyers in, to tell them the one the buyer was interested in was sold, and try to sell them something else. What can a buyer do to prevent this tactic from being used, or to actually be able to purchase what the dealer has posted? From what I have seen, this is being done regularly? I certainly don't want to waste my time or theirs on a bogus vehicle for sale, that does not exist? Does CG have any ethics standards that the dealer has to comply with?
