Great Small Car — The Aveo is a good cheap first car. The resale value is very low because they do not make them anymore. If you can find one for cheap, make sure it has low miles on it. It is a good value car.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Cheap and great gas mileage

Cons: Reliability

Gas Saving, Decent Car — I never liked small cars so if you like them small, and you like Chevy's then I recommend getting this car. The biggest thing I don't like about it is the fact that its ugly, looks like a Bettle wannabe. Gas isn't much of a issue with this car, gets pretty good gas mileage for a small car. Power is somewhat on the low end, but its more then enough for a smaller car. Seating is small, for a guy like myself being 6 foot, you'll be cramp. Handling is actually really good. Price is a little steep for such a small car, a Cobalt runs 12,000 to 25,000 brand new while the Aveo runs just near 11 to 15 grand (depending on model and year)

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Gas saver, even though its small its still a smart way to save on gas.

Cons: Size, style, power, and Cargo are all limited..

Its So Small That It Hurts — Its has a slow start but then very fast, the breaks are very good, and handling it is very easy, it didn't need repairs, and no squeaks, it dosn't look very good in the outside or the inside, it only needs little gas every 4 5 days its fun for racing only, its very very small.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: easy to park

Cons: small and a slow start

2009 Aveo — Well, the car is little and its easy to drive and maneuver around in tight spaces. The acceleration is pretty decent for a tiny car. The trunk is a lot bigger than I expected. Gas mileage is great, even at its worse it gets 28 MPG! With the cash for clunker trade in deal, I get a real good deal each month too for the payment.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Cheap

Cons: Tiny

Pay For What You Get — The car has 1.8L engine producing under 100hp but good fuel economy in the city, not so good on the highways. The car is cheap (under 10,000 new) so my overall rating is high because for the money it has been a great car.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: cheap on fuel, especally in city

Cons: very small

A Smart Car Might Be Trendy But For The Same Price Range The Aveo5 Gives You More Engine And Room. — Owning the Aveo for over a year now, I am still impressed with the roominess and overall utility. I am glad I got the bare bones LS as I'm sure what performance I get would be diminished with an automatic and air conditioning. It's quieter inside than I expected. Chevy was quite prompt in replacing an inside door handle whose chrome was peeling. I've had no other maintenance issues yet. Mileage has been right around but not more than claimed but I have to watch my own driving habits in this case. My only two issues would be that my dogs would prefer a flat folding back seat and the roof did not fare to well under our apple tree this summer. The "flip-n- fold" seat is a nice idea but not if you're taller as the front seats must come forward to accommodate the feature.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Roomy, easy to handle, unique style

Cons: Needs full sized spare and flat rear seat
