I didnt get a chance to see the car yet, but... the sales person I spoke to, was very nice. He answered all my questions, and even told me, the car could be delivered.

Clean — I liked the power, sports mode, acceleration, and handling, and the color combination was great. I'm not a fan of the center console but I have seem much worse. There is large trunk space. Maintenance costs can be pricey depending on what is being done.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Large trunk space, excellent color combination (get compliments), handling is amazing, performance brakes

Cons: Maintenance cost can be pricey (but i have replaced and maintained everything needed).

Greatest Car On The Road — the greatest car you can have and feel safe having your kids in it. this car handles perfect and has airbags allover. comfort of seating is way better and more comfortable than Mercedes. handling definitely surpasses mercedes and safety passed all cars on the road.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: best in everything car. handling, comfort, economy and above SAFETY is the best car for many years in a row.

Cons: pricey but worth it

Is It Just Me? I Don't Get The Bmw Allure! —

I bought this car because I was trying to cut back on my auto expenses... I've owned a lot of cars and when I was selling my Camaro Convertible, saw this and figured I would test it out... has the X-drive, so should be good for our New England winters... Well, no snow yet, so no comment on that... but in general I bought it because it was priced cheap! a 2009 with just 40k miles on it... So I bought it and let me preface this by saying I've always had 2 cars so like my luxury cars to be luxury and my sports cars to be sporty... the issue I have always found with BMW and still see it is that they are trying to be both in one package... so it handles better than most cars of the same size - but WHO CARES?? I'm not buying a full size sedan to take it to track day... the ride tends to be stiff so you feel every pothole, etc... As I said in the title - is it just me? I don't understand the BMW mystique and quit frankly if I hadn't bought it priced right, I would have probably gone with a new Implala over this - BMW just doesn't do it for me and I keep hoping it will, but just can't seem to get there :-(

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Handles well and gets decent MPG for the size car...  bought it used and as a used car with low miles, it was dirt cheap!

Cons: Ride is too stiff... computer system makes it too tough to not go to a BMW dealership for service - i.e. resetting the reminders requires a tool most independent guys do not have

I Love It — Love the car, it has the speed and plenty of space, No cons about it. It is very relaxing driving it. The sound system is very nice as well. Basically this car has everything i was looking for. Plenty of space in the back for the kids as well in the front for the passenger and the driver.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Very smooth car

Cons: Don't have any

All Dressing No Meat And Potatoes — Great looking car, very stylish. It always seemed to have problems however, and these became very expensive to fix after the warranty expired. Time for a new car and I think it should be a Lexus because I hear they are more reliable. Will post an update when I check it out!

Pros: Good looking car

Cons: Too many problems and they are expensive to fix

Terrific, Reliable 528i — I have no dislikes about the car. It has been a pleasure to own and drive for the past three years. It is also in pristine condition having been garaged both at home and work. For a 2009 it has only 70,000 miles.

Pros: Excellent sedan with good road manners, comfortable on trips and a pleasure to drive. No maintenance issues at all.

Cons: I opted for the TotalCare added warranty when I purchased the 528i. It was also Certified by BMW so between the two warranties, I am well covered. My only use of the warranty was for a replacement AC motor which costs me only $50.

Great Quality Of Build, But Lacking... —

I recently bought this as a used car with only 40k miles in it... And got a great price, otherwise I probably wouldn't have gone with it... But I figured I will only be using it for a year or two, so will probably be able to get out of it for the same price I bought it for... So, those are the reasons I bough... As for the car itself, I think it gives a decent ride, but is pretty stiff... The seats I like because they are a bit higher than my other car, so more chair like than laid out like in my CTS... But I just have a hard time with some of the things that are really 'the German way' when it comes to makeing cars... Like the seats - feels like there is no padding and the leather is rough... My issues with BMW in the past are still there... I mean are those seats for a luxury car? Nope... They are more set up for a sports car... But I have sports cars and will drive those when I want a tight ride... I 5 series BMW is not a sports car regardless of the trim you get on it, so why not make it more of what it is, a full size sedan that is a luxury car... BMW is so caught up in their THINKING they are the ultimate driving machine that they are always trying to be everything - sports, luxurym etc - all in one and to me they just miss the mark... So... To sum up what I think of the BMW, I think there is not better way to state it than to say I just got it to have a cheap daily driver for 1-2 years and I am already counting the months till I trade it in!

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Decent sized cabin... AWD and I live in New England , so it is needed for our winters...

Cons: Little too stiff in ride and the seats, etc..
