Nice Sport Car For Speed Or Gamily — I really like it. The balance between money, speed, control, room, and looking. And always remember, it has the unique engine, 13B Renesis rotary engine. The only car carries rotaty engine, except for these Rx7 which are still running. You can expect very thing from it. You will love it

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Pretty look, good handling, good hp

Cons: high cost if you need repair the engine

One Of The Top Three Sports Cars, 4 Door No Less, That Are Under $60,000. — The 2008 40th Anniversary Edition combines the Shinka edition with the grand touring model and comes with Sport suspension no less! This car gets 100 looks per mile as it is unique. The interior is quiet at freeway speeds aided by the BOSE 10 speaker Audio Pilot 6CD changer/stereo. Heated power seats fit all under 6' 3" tall. Stability control is a plus and with winter Blizzak tires, even winter roads are not an issue.

Pros: Looks, engineering, super smooth rotary , no vibration. Handling exceeds all cars under $50,000.00 range. Soon to be a collectors item since Mazda has stopped new production.  The body and mechanicals reliabilty in 2008 has been 100% perfect.

Cons: In spite of some reviews, have averaged 23 plus on hwy.

Excellent Car. — Only minor issue is the space saver tire in trunk takes up room. Top Gear review called it one of the three best handling cars driven! The rotary engine has 200% fewer moving parts and runs silk/ turbine smooth. Handling is amazing.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Outstanding! Not one issue with fit and finish. Very quite on highway. BOSE Audio Pilot cancel most road noise.
The portable Garmin GPS fits perfectly over the first center console cup holder and hides when closed.

Cons: None

Best Sports Car For The Buck. — Best sports car for the buck. The RX8 is a fun to drive, great looking car that rivals cars 3 times it's cost. Lousy gas mileage -- but it is a rotary and a sports car. Fantastic seating - comfort is superb.

Pros: Everything.  I love this car:  It's looks, styling, handling, performance ... and the seating is "fantastico."  You can drive for hours and not get fatigued.

Cons: Gas mileage.  (The Bose system in this 2008 is not as good as the one in my 2005.)

A Family Track Car! —

Although the weak point of the RX8 is power, this car with only 238hp and 159 ft/lbs of torque pulls hard and is amazing in the twisties. For straight line peformance this is not your car and dont expect it to be and be negative. This peformance machine delivers a pure track ready experience and there is nothing better than the 40th anniversary red leather interior and 40th anniversary badges. The car is perfect and no problems except my clutch needs replacing which will be done at the dealers expense for free. The gas milage is not that great boasting a whopping 16mpg, but would you complain if you drove a corvette? Although this car has roomy back seats for 2 full sized adults this car is a sports car and should be treated as such. I used to own a 2009 White RX8 and had a collision with airbags, this car is SO SAFE! i wasnt hurt at all and neither was my passenger, i should really write to Mazda about what an amazing car they made. I couldnt be happier with my purchase, take the plunge and experience first hand what the Rotary Revolution is all about.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Everything, really, its THAT GOOD!

Cons: I hate how the 2009's came stock with a AUX port and the series 1 RX8's did not.

My Baby Rx-8 — I thought about selling my cars many times because it consumes lots of gas but I really love my car. If the gas is cheap, I would not sell my car ever. It is an awesome car for its performance.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: The rear doors

Cons: Consumes lots of gas

Awsome Performance. — Couldn't ask for a better car. It is a superb performance car. The rotary engine revs much higher then any other car I've had and it handles perfectly nomatter what speed. On the open road you can put your food down and feel the acceleration. As far as cost goes you certainly get your moneys worth. Check out the 40th anniversary edition on mazda.com

Pros: Superb handling

Cons: Chews through oil

Great Looker, Great Performance And Cheap To Buy.. — It's a head turner, especially in red. Practical 4 doors, and seats 4 comfortably, although rear headroom and legroom is lacking. Performance is great, comes with paddle shifters! 6-speed.Great soundtrack from the rotary. Bad fuel consumption though.

Pros: 4 door coupe
stunner to look at
nice rotary engine
paddle shifters
cheap

Cons: hard plastics
fuel consumption is absolutely horrendous..
