Continuing to refine and update, the 2008 Infiniti M35 tweaks its appearance and adds a few more standard features in its attempt to rival such luxury sedan mainstays as the BMW 5-Series and Mercedes Benz E Class. For 2008, this rear-wheel drive sedan drops its Sport trim, replacing it with a Sport Package. It offers the same features, such as a sports suspension, 19-inch alloy wheels, and rear active steering.
Base and AWD trims come with a 3.5-liter, 275-hp V6 and 5-speed shiftable automatic. The powertrain rates 16/23 mpg. Base models start with full power features, 10-way power front seats, leather upholstery, a sunroof, and 6-CD/MP3 player with satellite radio. Owners love the intuitive and easy-to-sue touchscreen driver information center as well as the optional voice-activated navigation system with 3D graphics. The 2008 Infiniti M35 adds heated and cooled seats this year. Though defaulting to rear-wheel drive, the AWD system automatically kicks in to distribute torque where needed according to road conditions. Its extra weight reduces fuel economy slightly.
ABS brakes, traction and stability control, and dual front-side and side curtain airbags for all rows are standard. For 2008, the M35 adds xenon headlights. A new option this year is the Lane Departure Prevention System, which warns drivers when they start to drift. This joins an optional rearview monitor in providing maximum driver protection. Other updates for 2008 include styling changes to the front and rear fascia, taillights, and grille, giving the sedan a sportier look overall.
Infiniti's combination of luxury and performance seems to be doing something right, as owners have very few negative comments about the sedan. Handling and acceleration get high marks, as does the roomy interior and spacious 15 cubic foot trunk. The highest compliment goes to the navigation system. Low marks go to a rough ride with the Sport suspension, a small trunk opening, and a desire for even more horsepower.

What owners say
"Overall, drivers love the 2008 INFINITI M35 for its luxury feel, impressive performance, and comfortable interior. Many reviewers highlighted the powerful V6 engine and great driving experience. On the downside, some were disappointed with gas mileage and the condition of the vehicles when bought used."
Infiniti Makes great cars that are very dependable and great on gas........... Excellent performance and handling both on dry and wet grounds. Power ondemand always while required oil change is reasonable at the Infiniti Dealerships. comfort was really put into consideration when it was designed....Awesome car
September 14, 2013Good performer, terrible gas mileage. Nicely built & appointed. Solid with no rattles & shakes. Comfort you definitely would expect for price. Handles well. Better than most on appearance. Fantastic sound system. Overall great vehicle to drive. So far, no major repairs.

September 24, 2011This isnt my car, its my moms... But it is so fast, it has no problems, it looks amazing, it has good gas mileage as long as you dont switch it in to sport mode too often, and it is very funny to drive. I recommend this car because it rocks socks.
April 5, 2009first look at this car the usual infiniti g styling 19 inch rims with 14inch brake calipers not bad for braking. fully powered heated seats moonroof 6 in dash mp3 all cd player with 8 inch in dash sat-nav system. built in HIDs and fog lamps with auto mode a 3.5v6 with 275bhp a bit low on power than infiniti g. as compared to 5 series or e class its not as good as both of the german cars but its reliable and inexpensive to maintain. i burst a front wheel and it cost me 400 bucks to get a new one for 5 series it might be cheaper cuz they dont give 19 inch overall a good stylish sedan with all the luxury and speed u need at throtle
March 28, 2008It was cleaned to look good online. But the car was in such poor condition it could not have been more of a disappointment.
