2007 Mitsubishi Outlander LSReview

Good Looking And A Pleasure To Drive. — Mitsubishi designed a very good family vehicle with many fun to drive characteristics. The visibility, forward and back, is very good. There are no blind spots. Acceleration is good to almost sporty. Handling, especially around corners, is stable and solid, with a minimal amount of leaning. Power is adequate at highway speeds, even for passing. The instruments are laid out well and are easily seen by the driver. The voice activated, Bluetooth works great, for hands-free cellular activity. Maintenance on the Outlander is a breeze, even for the "D.I.Yer." This should be a vehicle to consider, when looking for an SUV. Primary Use: Family transportation Pros: Excellent visibility forward and back, instruments well laid out, very comfortable to ride or drive, very reliable, adequate power at highway speeds, even for passing. Cons: Wish for slightly more cargo space. |

A Great Family Car That Is A Pleasure To Drive. — Mitsubishi did many good things with the 2007 Outlander. It is larger than the older versions, for both the passenger and cargo areas. The two front seats each have the leg room of a larger vehicle. The back seat is also very comfortable and since the seat-backs are adjustable and the seats can move forward and back, there is ample leg room, even for tall persons. There is very good visibility providing the driver with a feeling of security whether at highway speeds for passing or, in congested city driving. The power from the v-6 engine is quite adequate and very smooth. The designers put cup holders everywhere! The instrument panel is well thought out and very easy for the driver to see and control systems. The EPA mileage rating can be exceeded, without too much trouble, especially on the highway. All things considered, a great family car that is a pleasure to drive. Primary Use: Family transportation Pros: Higher actual highway gas mileage than reported, excellent visibility forward and back, instruments well laid out, very comfortable to ride or drive, very reliable. Cons: Wished for slightly more cargo space, third row seat should only be for children. |

Good Car — Its a good practical car, not gonna set the world on fire, but then again it does have 2 to many wheels. 40k on a set of tyres, and free servicing for 100k and 10 year warranty on drivetrain. ok Primary Use: Family transportation Pros: ipod hook up Cons: cvt |

2007 Mitsubishi — * Performance - Acceleration is good and the AWD is key in the Northeast. * Build Quality - Overall very good for the make and price range - love the leather. * Appearance - Interior is snappy with a very modern look. Body is well build and the paint is great. * Cost of ownership - Fuel efficiency 18/26 is key for a crossover suv, especially with a V6. * Fun Factor - She scoots, but it's no sports car. For a family wagon its better than a MiniVan but not as fun as an Audi S4 Avant, dig? Pros: V6 power, good fuel economy, great price Cons: Lack of power passenger seat, un-gawdly expensive nav/media system, wish it had CVT |

Fantastic Choice, A Hidden Gem — So far, the acceleration and handling are great, steering radius is good, and the fuel economy for a 6 speed V6 automatic is Excellent! The in dash GPS/HDD combined navigation with the rockford fosgate speakers make for a fantastic combination. It is a blast to drive! I will update more once I have had it longer. 5 years in, it's as great as the first day I got it. Truly a great vehicle! Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: Power for size, off-road/ beach capable, great ride, great features, fuel economy
Cons:
Rockford fosgate logo is metallic finished on the dash, occasionally points |

Owner — The 3.0 220 hp V6 is a bit small. It needs the 3.5 235 hp V6 (not an option) No repaires (not self induced) needed. Al roof cuts weight, and inproves skid control. A bit small 3rd row is cramped Great kid mover. Primary Use: Family transportation Pros: Looks good, good gas milage, AWD Cons: under powered, cramped 3rd row |
