The car has a blown head gasket and it leaks antifreeze, but it’s not reported on this site or on the CarFax

It's A Jeep. What Can You Do? — I'm not terribly impressed with the Jeep Liberty. For one, the seating configuration is awkward for anyone over 6' tall. Next, the gas mileage is terrible. And third, it is still a Jeep, through and through. That's something that can't be said for all of Jeep's newest models. In fairness, however, it is quite useful in inclement weather and light-duty off road situations. I can't be too hard on the gas mileage since it is a 3.7 liter six-cylinder in an SUV. I imagine for the right person, this vehicle would be perfect. It's definitely worth consideration.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Handling, Cargo Space, Ability

Cons: Seating, Gas Mileage, Power

Very Nice — Perfect small family vehicle...also great for weekend trips! Would definitely get another one! This Jeep has great acceleration, handling, and is a pleasure to drive. If you have any more questions please feel free to email me and I will be glad to answer them.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Get lots of looks in this ride!  Very comfortable and nice view of the road.

Cons: Have had no trouble out of this vehicle.

Strongest Car For The Size — I love the car, is one of the best suv I drive, very strong, good handling, and with the rear seats down you wil get a lot more cargo space, good for the snow and off road, great also for long trips, I definitely recommend this car

Pros: Very powerful car

Cons: is not a compact car

Reliable Transportation If Maintained Properly — It's not a sports car, but it has decent acceleration. Brakes are good, but when they wear out, go aftermarket, since the OEM rotors are crap. Handling is a bit bumpy, but acceptable with good tires. Lots of room for cargo, unless you go camping. In that case get a roof cargo box or rack. I prefer the looks of the 07 and earlier Libertys to the newer boxy ones. It averages about 19 MPG mostly highway, but be ready for service costs. Most Chrysler transmissions require ATF +4 at $10 a quart, and you must use Mopar fluid, or you'll be buying a new trans shortly. This includes the so-called "Universal" crap, no matter which well known brand it is. Everything else is aftermarket compatible. Not much fun to drive, unless you're driving in snow or off road.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: All weather, off road, lots of cargo space

Cons: rough ride

I Absolutely Love Driving It. — Performance is outstanding on the 2007 Jeep Liberty. I will definitely buy another Liberty in the future. The style is "cute," but bold. It makes a statement. Definitely not a daily driver, but a weekend car, rather. I recommend buying the Limited Edition, as you will get all the goodies (leather/sunroof/etc)! The acceleration is outstanding for its weight. Has tons of power/torque, and there are so many upgrades that can be done to make the truck even more powerful. Very fun, but difficult, to drive.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: To have fun off road; power/torque; towing capacity

Cons: rigid ride (drives like a Jeep); hard to control in unexpected situations

Great Little Jeep! — This is a good small SUV with nice styling and good performance. It drove with a full trunk and the 5 passengers for +1500km without faltering on our road trip as a rental! So much fun to drive, and very comfortable! I liked it!

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: fun to drive, roomy, very solid

Cons: could have better gas mileage and pull to the acceleration

2007 Jeep Liberty — Decent mileage (21 hwy). Relatively quick compared to others in it's class. A little small inside. Nice interior considering it's the base model. Good price. Never had any issues with it at 20,000 miles. No amount of snow seems to stop it!

Pros: Goes anywhere, good price.

Cons: Small

The Little Jeeps That Can — I drive these guys all day at work they are about middle of the road in most places, the ones we have have a consistent problem of the windows breaking all the time not being able to roll back up or just coming out of track!! other than that and the low gas mileage not much else all of our jeeps have held up fairly well considering the abuse they go through. i took one of these to College station once going 90 the whole way never had any problems the thing stayed on par the whole time no flux's in the engine no problems.

Pros: really good on the highway

Cons: only gets about 20mpg, also the window mechanizum seems to brake alot b/c it's made out of cheap plastic
