The car has a blown head gasket and it leaks antifreeze, but it’s not reported on this site or on the CarFax

It's A Jeep. What Can You Do? — I'm not terribly impressed with the Jeep Liberty. For one, the seating configuration is awkward for anyone over 6' tall. Next, the gas mileage is terrible. And third, it is still a Jeep, through and through. That's something that can't be said for all of Jeep's newest models. In fairness, however, it is quite useful in inclement weather and light-duty off road situations. I can't be too hard on the gas mileage since it is a 3.7 liter six-cylinder in an SUV. I imagine for the right person, this vehicle would be perfect. It's definitely worth consideration.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Handling, Cargo Space, Ability

Cons: Seating, Gas Mileage, Power

Very Nice — Perfect small family vehicle...also great for weekend trips! Would definitely get another one! This Jeep has great acceleration, handling, and is a pleasure to drive. If you have any more questions please feel free to email me and I will be glad to answer them.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Get lots of looks in this ride!  Very comfortable and nice view of the road.

Cons: Have had no trouble out of this vehicle.

Strongest Car For The Size — I love the car, is one of the best suv I drive, very strong, good handling, and with the rear seats down you wil get a lot more cargo space, good for the snow and off road, great also for long trips, I definitely recommend this car

Pros: Very powerful car

Cons: is not a compact car

Reliable Transportation If Maintained Properly — It's not a sports car, but it has decent acceleration. Brakes are good, but when they wear out, go aftermarket, since the OEM rotors are crap. Handling is a bit bumpy, but acceptable with good tires. Lots of room for cargo, unless you go camping. In that case get a roof cargo box or rack. I prefer the looks of the 07 and earlier Libertys to the newer boxy ones. It averages about 19 MPG mostly highway, but be ready for service costs. Most Chrysler transmissions require ATF +4 at $10 a quart, and you must use Mopar fluid, or you'll be buying a new trans shortly. This includes the so-called "Universal" crap, no matter which well known brand it is. Everything else is aftermarket compatible. Not much fun to drive, unless you're driving in snow or off road.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: All weather, off road, lots of cargo space

Cons: rough ride
