Write a reviewThe Bentley Continental Flying Spur returns with minimal change for its second year of production. The mid-size grand touring sedan was introduced in 2005 as a 2006 model. The Flying Spur is the first Bentley in history to house a W-12. This naturally aspirated BMW engine provides 552 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque. A new six speed automatic transmission distributes power to all four wheels - another Bentley first. The Flying Spur will reach a top speed of 198 mph, and it rockets from 0 to 60 in just 4.7 seconds. The Spur is built from VW's D platform, which it shares with the Audi A8 and Volkswagen Phaeton. The styling is another significant departure for Bentley. The Flying Spur's understated looks set it apart from the classic styling of the Arnage and Azure. All three Continental models (Flying Spur, GT, and GTC) are similar in engineering and in price. They are all offered at nearly $100,000 less than other current models. Fewer Mulliner personalization opportunities exist here, but the Spur is already equipped with what one would expect to find in a six figure luxury car.

Performance- 340 km/h, very powerful about 500 hp.
Build Quality- Very solid car
Appearance- the grille looks very nice,looks very nice, quite long but built very well.
Cost of Ownership- takes in a lot of gas.

Having driven a few high end cars, this beast must be the quickest thing away from the lights, with it's 550 hp and four wheel drive and amazing traction........
This car is made to do the job 10 times over and can out perform the most so called supercars. The only downfall is the poor vision through the quarter light windows and the 9 mpg isnt the best in the world, but then fun comes at a price :-)Jun 05, 2009

Amazing performance from the 6.0 litre W12 engine and pure luxury inside. I drove one of these at 150mph and it's just as calm as 50mph! Another trick is being able to set the car's ride and performance levels and when in sport mode it feels like a car half it's size an weightNov 21, 2008

Love the braking because it is very sensitive and works very well. It has had very few problems, although a wire did slip in the back seat's seat warmers. Beautiful appearance. Expensive to take care of because it's only about 8 miles per gallon, gas guzzler. SO much fun to drive, especially on an open road, and when someone cuts you off.Jul 28, 2008
