Great Auto — This is really a Bentley (which VW owns, also Audi). It is the same as a Bentley Sport or an Audi A8. Only varies by trim. The paint job, alone is incredible. Mine is Premium Black, which looks 2 ft. thick. Reminds me of my old 20 coat lacquer Jaguar Mk 8. It is really an out-of-the-ordinary car. Despite its size, it is fun to drive. Primary Use: Family transportation
Pros:
Quietest, most comfortable car I have ever owned.
Cons:
Definitely NOT an in-town car (10 MPG) |

Great Car, But Not For Mostly Local Driving. Need An "in-town" Car — Pure, unadulterated luxury. Like flying First Class rather than Coach. This is essentially the same car as, except for trim, an AUDI A8 or a BENTLEY SUPER SPUR.( both companies are owned by VW). Used ones cost a fraction of new. Primary Use: Family transportation
Pros:
Quiet at all speeds as a living room. A wonder
Cons:
City mileage (8 to 12) |

Lux — The best and most luxurious car I've ever owned! Veery luxurious, very nice and stylish! Beautiful car! If I had the chance to get it earlier, I would take it right then! If you have the financial ability to own it, just don't think any more and get it! Primary Use: Family transportation Pros: Massage of the front and back seats, ... many many extras more! Cons: NOTHING! |

I Really Enjoy May Car And Feel Blessed To Own One! — I own a 2006 5-Seater V8 VW Phaeton. The fit and trim are fantastic and ride quality is stiff but the seats are comfortable. The cost of ownership is pretty high, i.e. new brakes are about $1,200 but it that's expected on a high end luxury vehicle. The looks of wonder and amazement that I receive makes the purchase worth it! The Nav system is quite antiquated but the BMW 2008 CDs can be used in place of the 2006 VW Nav discs. The sound system is superb! There are many bells and whistles that are missing such as bluetooth, backup camera, and MP3 (IPOD)interface. Overall the vehicle is unique, due to only 3,000 being sold in the U.S., and it is very comparable to the competitor luxury saloons but has the misfortune of a VW stigma. I do not mind the VW brand but some undereducated aristocrats may differ. Test drive and Buy one, if you can find one! Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: Fit, Finish, Comfortable Seats, lots of interior space, beautiful wood appointments Cons: Costly to maintain, lack of updated Multi Media technology e.g. IPOD interface, Bluetooth, Backup camera |

Beats An A8, Need I Say More? By Carlos
This car just leaves me speechless, thank god I'm typing. It's still hard to believe that this is a Volkswagen. They've done it again, created another classic in my heart. Read More
