I have a 2006 Jetta gli. After accelerating hard, when I put in the clutch, the car dies. But if I let my foot of the gas then put in the clutch it decelerates just fine. When it stalls there are no check engine lights or anything, just falls below 1k rpms and dies. Could this be a sensor problem or maybe a fuel filter?
Drove my car to work hr and 15 mins stopped for fuel. Drove 15 more minutes to work was going 15 mph and it shut down (engine wise) radio and lights were still on. Tried starting it and it wouldn’t fire. Started it for 1 second using starting fluid figured it was the fuel pump. Changed it and it will not start still and seems to turn over faster now. Tried starting fluid again and it won’t attempt to fire. Any ideas?
I was driving my car back home, using “manual/standard” mode and driving between 60- 90mph between stops. I would shift engine right before it hit the red ticks on the RPM gauge (yes I know, probably not a good thing to do) but my temperature gauge didn’t show signs of overheating. Right before going home, I stopped at a traffic light and noticed all the lights inside and out the car were on as usual but I couldn’t feel the car idle so I’m assuming the car (engine) died on me. The battery light was also displaying once I stopped. There was also light smoke seeping out the hood. I turned the car off then tried to start it back up but car would not start. The EPC light also came on as well. Could the problem be from the way I was shifting? Also I had just changed the serpentine belt a couple weeks earlier after I died out on the middle of the road and came to find my serpentine belt was shredded to pieces with oil splatters around the engine coming from something/somewhere. Looking for possible problems and advice, especially involving the use of turbo cars...
My 2006 volskwagen jetta gli will just crank and crank and not start after I took off the manifold and put a new seal on one of the injectors i did remove the fuel rail but have no idea what could be wrong
I am looking at one that has been on the lot for 85 days, to me that seems like a really long time. It has also been reduced twice, about $1500, does that mean there's probably no room for negotiation?
