Awesome First Car! — I got this as my very first car. It's been reliable, except you need to bring an extra oil can inside your trunk. The turbo will burn your oil. The trunk is very practical and one of the best for the size. DSG Transmission and Pedal Shift is a must!!

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: It has a very responsive engines

Cons: Oil burnt, due to turbo

This A Awesome Daily Driver That Puts A Smile On My Face All The Time. — The car is outstanding daily driver.I get about 27 mpg on a good day. The car is a little slow off the line but once it gets going, it goes!!!!Comfortable leather sport seats, bright xenon headlights, thick sporty steering wheel, smooth turbo

Pros: Unique look, turbo rush, smooth acceleration, great transmission, awesome brakes, HID headlamps

Cons: rides a little high, prone to speeding tickets, and maintenance can sometimes be a little expensive.

A Great All-around Car! — I replaced my 2003 Jetta GLI with this car and the differences were surprising. The first impression was a lack of torque after coming from a 24-valve VR6, but better top-end power. The second impression was a far stiffer ride than the old car, but wow, what a difference in the cornering! My car had the sunroof/leather option package and was supremely comfortable with tons of convenience features which added to the driving experience immensely. The lack of power was easily solved with a GIAC computer re-flash which did wonders for the acceleration, but you had to be careful with that in the rain as the front tires would break-loose in 3rd gear! The only thing I would have done differently looking back, I would have gotten the DSG transmission...

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Very good power, great cornering balance, awesome interior, fantastic materials and build quality, and excellent visibility.

Cons: Looks mostly like a standard Jetta, fairly pricey when new, stiff ride, blow-off valves are weak and fail, and maintenance is expensive.

Vw Gli 2006 — Love it and would never own another car other than a VW or an Audi. Very reliable, fast, and can add a lot of cool add ons to it. Good gas mileage considering it is a sports car and the black and red trim with red calibers makes it cool to look at.

So Far So Good — I love this car... it has been so long since I have had a car that stops, goes and turns!!!! lol It is a ton of fun to drive, gets good gas mileage, will cruse at 100 all day... what more could you ask for and it still has 4 doors for kids...

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: 4 doors and still fun

Cons: front wheel drive

I Was Going How Fast Officer? — all around great car for the price. The paddle shifters are fun. Get up and go could be better but once the turbo kicks in its becomes more fun. I was going to go for the leather but for some odd reason decided the plaid to be more fun -- i made the right call imho.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: differs from other jettas

Cons: no factory AUX for my ipod

My Baby. — The performance of the car is amazing. No repairs needed, just the oil changed every 5000 miles. No squeaks or rattles. The exterior and Interior of the car is beautiful only a few minor scratches. and the Interior has the GLI Plaid stitch. The cost of ownership is very low, I commute 450 miles a week and it costs roughly 60 dollars a week for gas and there is nothing really to be maintained which costs a lot. This car is extremely fun to drive.

Pros: To many to list.

Cons: Not enough to remember, if any.

Wv Gli — I love my car...Great pick up..lots of leg room and seats are so comfortable..handles curves very well at high speed...I would like to look at the new vw tiguan..turbo suv..sounds good to me... =D

Excellent Performance For A Daily Driver — The brakes are awesome, the engine is even better and the transmission is butter smooth. I've only had 3 services so far in 25,000 miles; absolutely no other problems. The car looks good, inside and out. It has many brilliant features, light sensing dash lights, pop-out headlight washers, DSG trans, heated mirrors, remote window roll-down & roll-up. HID headlights, electro- mechanical steering and the list goes on.

Pros: listed above

Cons: requires 91 octane gas and the ride is bad on bumpy roads.

Excellent Car — I actually bought one of these, it's been awesome. I have driven 19,000 miles on it. It is the best car I have ever owned. It is quick, 0-60 in 6.7 seconds, ran a 14.9 at the drag strip. It is capable of good gas mileage, but it's hard to not run all out all the time. It does understeer, but you can force it to oversteer quite easily. It is really fun to drive and it is easy to drive on the highway. I can do about 450 miles on a tank at 75 mph. The brakes are unbelievably good. The car is excellent for anyone looking for a fun daily driver. The trunk space is also very good. The trunk is much larger than it seems. You can fit 3-4 large suit cases with the seats up. The engine also requires little maintenance, the first two oil changes are at 5000 and 10000; then they are every 10000 miles.

Pros: Really fun daily driver for younger people.  A great car all around, all the economy of a Honda but with a lot more fun.

Cons: Appearance, the taillights and it rides really high.
